I opened a credit card account and somehow missed the small print, where they said there was a $39.00 activation fee and a $60 annual fee. I realized my mistake when they sent me my card, so I didn't activate it, hoping I could close the account before using the card, and thus avoid the fees. But they charged me the fees anyway - now I owe $100, and I haven't used the card once! Is that legal?

this girl owes me 400.00 and wont send it to me, its been 6 months, i shouldnt have given it to her in the first place but i am a kind person. i know i should grow up and let it go but it hurts to be treated this way and i know it will come back on me if i do something to get revenge but it will feel sooo goood!! yall know what i mean ;-) i have some pics of her at a strip party she gave, very adult xxx pics, where can i post them on the web so that every one can see but can't be traced back to me?? or how can i make her pay? no bodily harm!! she has her own home daycare.

For years I had been going to a house church and had been one of the leaders there. We had a rule that I helped pass that forbid women from teaching to men. This went on for a long time until the elders decided it was time to move into a building. When we did, these feminist women started attending and started questioning the rule. Before you know it we had a meeting on it and the elders gave the women the right to vote! (Women can be pretty crafty at gaining suffrage) Anyways, this put me and the others that backed me up in the minority even though the elders sympathized with my viewpoint and said it was very well argued. Well, they won the right to teach and I was disappointed so I left while coming back to visit every now and then. Now, one of the elders calls me up today and wants me to come back and start teaching again. I feel like women totally usurped authority there though and took over. (They are even thinking about women being elders) What would you do?

I just can't seem to take things easy... I started taking up art because I like the idea of creating my own figures and am excited at the thought of making them beautiful like all those other artists draw them.

But every time I pick up a pencil and hunch over a sheet of drawing paper I start to get nervous... Every time I draw, I'm always erasing my lines. I spend several minutes drawing the same line over and over and over again.

My artist friends keep telling me that I'm being too hard on myself, that I shouldn't expect things to look perfect at my level, that I can't expect to improve overnight, yada yada. Nothing they tell me helps, their advice just doesn't sink into my subconscious and I continue to fret and fuss over my drawings to the point where I yell at myself and break pencils.

How can I train my mind to just accept making mistakes? I've always been trained to make things perfect so that obviously doesn't help me. What can I do to calm myself down?

Seriously, I mean how can people that are prescribed things like Adderall that surpress their appetite or people who starve themselves(like people who are anorexic) lose weight if there is a such thing called "starvation mode"? People say if your body is in starvation mode because you don't eat, then when you do eat it stores even the littlest amount of food as fat? It just doesn't really add up....Someone give me a furthur explaination about this or whether starvation mode is even real or not.

Oh, and when you don't eat, does your body survive on the fat first or the muscle or both???

Why does god test us if he already knows the outcome? The only reason to test a person is if they get a chance to try again so they can "learn from their mistakes."

God already knows which of us will make which mistakes, so he already knows who is headed for eternal salvation, and who is headed for eternal damnation. If god is truly omniscient, he cannot possibly "hope" for us, because hope implies not knowing the outcome. God already knows, so he can't have "hope" for us. To god, watching humans is like watching a movie you've already seen. You can't hope for a different ending.

By all logical reasoning, we are simply participating in a preprogrammed experiment, and our free will is only an illusion. What sane being would set such a stage?
