Why do people assume, I have the time and energy to listen to their story when I am here on YAnswers just relaxing and having my share of fun? It was a long day and the kids are sleeping!

I try to get the high points and not drag it out. I figure they have better things to do also.

When it's exciting or interesting or just want to get on that person's nerve, I give them the long story. Otherwise, I sometimes past the point.

i usually go straight to the point with a little story to it but i dont go overboard with it. my mom does that crap to me where she wants to tell a big story and about 15 sec later im not even listening anymore.
