Although I know that God made us equals-- including in brains and faith, I know that God made Man first with Woman as his partner.
Someone has to take the lead, and I know God designed us with different strengths and Man has to take that on. That DOES NOT mean you negate what a CHILD of God has to say because of their gender. The Spirit speaks to ALL of us, male or female.
Also, think about this: if man treated woman the way God INTENDED, we would have no need for suffrage (as you call it). But they don't. We still have to follow God FIRST, regardless of what a man has to say.
I would encourage you to think about that strongly. What is God trying to tell you by placing these women in positions of power?

Church is only for men. Churches / Synagogues / Mosques / Temples offer absolutely nothing for women except subjugation. I don't know why women bother with religion. With men like you, why would they? Men are so fearful of women. No god EVER gave men authority over women - men did. Just about every religion under the sun was created by men. Men want to rule, men want to conquer, men want to own. So they set up a "divine" system that furthered their cause. In a man's eye, might makes right.
If I were you, I would take hemlock as you have nothing to offer the world .

My demonination allows women to teach but ONLY to other women. A woman is forbidden to lead the worship service as well. However, women are allowed to be musicians, praise singers, and sing in the choir. If a woman started preaching in my church (to men as well as women), I'd have to leave because it's against the Bible. There are several scriptures that specifically say women should be silent while in church.

That is totally inappropriate!
I would not say much because women should obviously be seen and not heard but I would definitely not vote for that (women shouldn't be voting anyway)
Do not let them let women be elders..women just couldn't handle that responsibility and wouldn't be wise or smart enough to help anyone.
Maybe you could convince the women to help out cooking meals for the men after church.
XOXO

I was raised in a church where women were not allowed to teach to men. They were only allowed to be leaders in women's only prayer groups. This traditional way of doing things is the way that it should be, and I would not continue to attend a church that did things any other way... but I guess that makes me narrow minded and silly...

i would go to a different one, at my church the women can sing and participate in the mass services but not teaching the assembly perhaps partially due to christian tradition but anyways it's what you think that matters! maybe you should try going back to that church and recreating the holy church you remember! they shouldn't be taking your authority sandstorm!!!

If it's a class for men and all are men, well I don't think a woman should teach in a place for men.

This is easier for me as a woman, of course, as I'd follow my husbands lead. I think you should ask God to show you His will. Maybe they need you and your teachings? If those women usurped authority they need strong men to deal with the situation.

Pray and ask God for wisdom and discernment in the situation. Find a fellowship that teaches your beliefs. Pray to God for one, He will guide you. Get into the Word and seek answers.
