So, I attempted to correct a person who mistakeningly tried to posit that the Bible specifically states that the earth was a 3 dimensional sphere. I attempted to point out that the Bible actually calls the earth a flat circle - which is not the same thing.

This is a shining example of the type of response we "Brights" get:
"its called paraphrasing mo ron! i kno how to spel your and actualy idiot its you're not your duh!any way a circle is a circle is sphere a dome what ever its round mo ron, and no i didnt twist any scripture i pulled it straight word for word from the bible, and no it does'nt say anything about the earth being built on pillers and oh yes shipping lanes are in the bible try reading it you uneducated bafoon.aparently your grammer aint to hot pal. find out about the discovery of shipping lanes the man who discovered them and WHERE he discovered them and show me your youre you're magical verses about the earth being built on pillers..then email me back if you think"

This problem deals with Exponential Growth and Decay, it says to predict the population of bacteria for each situation and time period in this case its : 125 bacteria that double every hour after 6 hours. The book says it's 80000 but how did they come to that answer i want to know how to work it out.....This is Algebra 2.....Help please=)

My daughter is 12 and is being called a ***** and a ho by another 12 year old girl who lives on our street. This time it involved a boy they both like. But this has gone on for the past 4 years we've lived there. Me and the other mother have had several talks and nothing is helping. We have argued because she confronts her daughter who denies everything. Her daughter has a crappy homelife but that doesn't give her the right to take it out on my daughter. My daughter is shy/scared and doesn't say anything back to this girl. Now the other kids on the bus on taunting her telling her to stand up for herself, which is just making my daughter feel worse. I have tried role playing with her and being as supportive and encouraging as I can. I want her to stand up for herself too, but my daughter has to decide what she's comfortable with. My question to you all is what more can I do? Go to the school? Talk to her parents again? My daughter is such a sweet girl and it breaks my heart.

I currently have an '82 camaro. I plan to sell it either on craigslist.com or to put an ad out in the newspaper. I'll probably get somewhere between $1500-2000 for it. I'm not sure if I should get a car or computer with the money. I haven't been driving for over a year now and I know it's got to be putting stress on the people who give me rides. On the other hand I'm looking to get back into school. I found a great online school. I'll need to get an up to date labtop and then all the programs I need for the courses. Don't get me wrong I'd love to get a car but I also know I wont have this kind of cash to get myself started with school for a long time. Just not sure what the better decision is. What do you think?

Trimming your hair doesn't make it grow faster what trimming does is it removes the split ends and helps in healthy stronger hair. When your ends are split, they continue to split,moving closer and closer up the shaft to the roots then finally they break into 2 resulting in weak strands.Which leads to hair breakage and thinning.

I've met a random guy in a chatroom. I first didnt like him. Then we became friends, and started to date. We talked about everything and anything!!!

So far we're together for 6 months. He would talk to me, EVERYDAY, and I dont mean just for 2-3 hours, it was the whole day till we both we're sleepy. He expressed everything, nothing was hidden, and if it was he would tell me afterwards, he even felt guilty for flirting with a girl, that he told me.

I dont know when we're planning to meet, But if he works out in 6 years, then he can move where I am, since he is in the mility. And Im not pressuring him into meeting, nor is he. We talked on the phone ALOT. I saw his picture while being friends and he saw mine. Also on his myspace, my name is on it, as we're dating. So do you guys think its worth it?

Though I think it is pretty useless to talk about Ahmaidinjad misquote with you. But with regard to the most of answers I have got from you saying Ahmaidnejad said Israel should be wiped off the map , I have say that this is not that what Ahhmadinejad said . What he did say was that this occupying regime of Jerusalem ( not the country but the regime) should be vanished of the pages of the time( nnot earth) , the interesting part is that Israeli government has wished for the annihilation of Islamic regime of Iran even before Ahmadinejad ‘ famous statement . I am not defending Ahmadinejad since so many of my people think he who has cheated in election is in fact a traitor that with his words are giving the American government enough reasons for justification of another war against Iran . I do not if this fact make any difference in your mind but yes Iran in middle east is getting stronger and the might threaten the position of American allies in Middle east . Besides , there are many Mullahs who do not give a damn to their people , they are ready to sacrifice anything for money . Some not . Iran government is complicated and for sure their enmity with Israel is more like a friendship to me . The make it really easy forI Israelis to have America attack Iran and they would both benefit from this war . You have been told that they are Islamic and that is the reason of the Mullahs enmity against countries like America but I as an Iranian know that is lie . They are the ones who banned us not to drink alcohol beverage ,yet they are their sellers and contributor . Police in Iran is easily get bribes if they caught several kid drinking and that is all about it , It is all about money . Every thing in Iran is possible from having sex and drinking , smoking best substances with just spending a little money . You do not nothing that most Iranians do not believe in god anymore and for them all of the bullshit west says about Islam and that they want to blow for the sake of their prophet is simply ridicules . I think your government and mine know how to play with us with the difference that we Iranians know we are getting played but you Americans so far away to realized this fact .
Now you can call me a liar or whatever but this is just my personal opinion
my question , Do you think this war against middle eastern countries is just another Crusade or it might have another reasons ?
By the way Iran is not match for America even with a nuclear bomb this is not the reason that American wants to attack Iran , bring me another reason that could convince me you Americans .Tell me why my country should be bombed
