I sometimes like to use old fashioned flower perfumes, such as lavender scent, rose, lilly of the valley etc. My two favourites are lavender and rose. But which is the most beautiful?

I personally love lavender. I can be completely stressed out but as soon as I burn my lavender candle I start to feel better.

Lavender would be my choice over rose. Lavender is a more universally appealing scent and stays fresher longer than rose. Men tend to like lavender on women (from scientific articles and magazine polls I've read) because it's feminine but not overpowering. Rose scents can be cloying, overly sweet, and dominate other notes.
In the end, choose the one you like best!

Well I will answer this from an allergy stand point. Lavender is milder TO ME and I dont feel the urge to sneeze when I smell it.

I like rose, but of the 2 I prefer lavendar. However, Lilac is my favorite of the florals. I sometimes also like to wear Myrrh, Frankincense or Spikenard perfume.

lavender, as a word its beautiful read, and as a scent its my girlfriends fav, i'd go with lavender

I don't know cologne smells by name or smell, much less together. I just like it when a guy smells good and clean. If they walk by and I smell whatever they are wearing. But if it is too much, as in suffocating... Not as pleasant. But yeah. Baby powder smells really good. That is the one smell I know the name to, I like that.
