Hi there. I am bird sitting for one week for my mom. I am a big time smoker in my house. Can this kill this bird in just one week of me watching it and smoking like I do? Will this kill the poor bird? I would cry if my smoking killed him. Any advice???

I think more women should make their own family's clothes because that is part of being a good wife and mother. I'm not saying they should make everything but I think they should make atleast a few things. I like wearing custom tailored clothing and I am sure othe people might as well. Women have more free time now because of all the modern appliances that do most of the work for them. Plus, women don't have to hand sew things because they can get sewing machines now. Do you all agree with me here?

We live in an illusion-somewhat 'cause of our senses.Hinduism-maya (illusion)says so, too, although I don't believe in religion.Does religion not give people a firm grip at life? Does it not lie out all which life has to offer, and deprive individuals of wondering? Religion keeps structure in our insane world. People do not wonder, they do not question Truth because for them, they “know” what to live for, they believe they know the truth, written in their holy scripture-they are conditioned to believe certain reasoning, say, from their caregivers. But they are not to blame. Mankind cannot stand not knowing. For if they did never know the truth, it would drive them insane wondering. They need to be confident that they are stable in life, that they do not live in an illusion, that they are experiencing ‘reality’. What they do not know, they make up, they lie, they deceive themselves. I think mad men (geniuses) go insane and commit suicide because they get to close to the truth.

I'm planning on trying to make a checkered shirt in the style of the hoodie seen here

and, needless to say, it should prove to be a bit of a challenge. My plan of attack is to somehow procure a large number of uniformly sized, square pieces of tape, which I will affix to the shirt in a checkerboard fashion. Then, I will proceed to spray paint the whole mofo black and take the tape off afterwards.

I was just wondering if:

A: Anyone has a better idea of how to do this

and if not

B: Where I could get a buncha pieces of tape like that, or will I have to use a paper cutter and card stock and then tape each individual square down...

The Old Testament would be a great guide book if you suddenly woke up in the middle of the desert 3,000 years ago surrounded by goat herders, but it doesn't really address people who aren't inclined to stone their own daughters to death for not bleeding on their wedding night. There is no chapter in Deuteronomy with instructions for Soccer Moms.

The New Testament might be useful if you suddenly woke up in the middle of a Jewish rebellion against the Roman Empire circa 67 AD, but does it really have any useful information for dealing with a Global Economy? Aside from telling you that all of those people out there are evil and probably pawns of the Anti-Christ? What will happen to your religion when the earth is still here in 500-1000 years. Won't you look just as ignorant and stupid as the people who thought the world was going to end back in 999 AD?

I don't know why, maybe I have a lot going on in life, but I've been so depressed lately. I'm supposed to be wearing a heart monitor for two weeks, but I haven't worn it since Thursday. I guess I'm depressed about that, but everyone thinks the reason why I'm having chest pain (the reason why I'm wearing a monitor) is because of anxiety, noot my heart. But I'm still worried!
