I am 41 years old and after I left Iran to canada from Islamic regime which meeting women can be so hard in country like Iran, now I thinks Canada is much much more deficault as Iran, women are here not so freindly, to some nationality, why?

Is eating a protein bar for breakfast and lunch and a low cal dinner healthy?

I am doing this new diet with a product from quixtar. I am eating one of there Trim Advantage protein bars for breakfast, and one for lunch.(the bars are 250 calories each) For supper i eat a small high fiber meal. I drink tons of water, i small diet pop a day, if that and no snacking in between. I recentely got the dvd HIP HOP ABS and it is amazing. It is fun easy and just like dancing. If you can shake what your momma gave ya, you can do this exercise program. So basically what i was wondering was if this diet is goin to work. I have stuck with it and havent cheated yet, so for me that is a good sign.-thanks hal-pal

Deus ex machina?

I'm writing a story, and have backed my characters into a corner that I'm not quite sure how to get them out of.

Rather than rewriting several pages of what I thought was good work, I am considering a deus ex machina to help them in their plight. However, I would rather rewrite than destroy the story with a silly twist, if it comes down to that.

I was just curious about the whole deus ex machina idea. When I'm reading a story and something miraculously happens, it can sometimes be frustrating and confusing. At the same time, if an author writes it with some finesse, it can be a great plot twist.

I just wanted an idea on how readers here generally feel about it and whether or not deus ex machina is something generally accepted by the majority of people, or is just annoying.

To be clear, this would be happening in the middle of the story rather than a twist ending.

I am so confused with guys right know and pissed!!?

Men and boys are confusing they like to ahve one girl but yet they go and find another girl and fight over her and think she is a toy which im not I have feelings I like a guy yah but what wrong wiht that..... but know there all saying she is mine no she is mine yesterday I had told them im not any of yours because I want a saying in this im a not a toy you guys can fight over I have feelings to have you ever though of my feelings instead of always yours I like the fact that I have them as freinds and everything but it is son confusing and hard cuz I don't know what to do and know they are asking me to choose through them.....I can't choose there all ym good friends and I am scared what if I tell them that hey i choose you or if i don't choose any of them their going to still fight over me I have done this 3 times i told them i like them as a freind but they keep doing this I can't take it IM hurting over over again what do I do????????¿µ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿

Last year he made approximately $14.5 million dollars!!

That's right $14.5 million!

The entire Florida Marlins payroll was about $14.75 million.

Bud's breakout is :

$6 million - base salary
$6 million - Bonus
$2.5 Million - Travel and personal expenses

That guy lives like a rock star!!

what's the moral of the story of dumbo?

for some reason i get the feeling it's about religion. think about it. dumbo is unsure of himself. so he ends up getting a magic feather that helps him fly. in this situation i believe the feather represents religion. it gives those who need it the strength to do what they want to do. the interesting thing about this story though is that dumbo eventually loses his feather (his faith) and thus he is somewhat afraid he can't fly on his own. but, soon dumbo realizes that the feather was just a feather and he was always capable of flying without it. all he had to do was believe in himself.

The big bang? Where is the flaw in the way I reasons?

At the moment of the big bang, the escape velocity was more than the speed of light. No matter can go faster than the speed of light. (to accelerate one atom to a speed faster than light, you need an infinite amount of energy.) So, the big bang is impossible?
