Ah, I feel sympathy for the person who can be manipulated in that way. Some one who will do that is putty in my hands.

it's a pretty cold world.

The only mentor I have to owe it all including my failures is myself, no one else.
I don't try to achieve success just to prove someone wrong. I live, work, and breathe the air of my inner peace for myself.
I can level down myself with all humility just to prove someone is doing something wrong.

You asked the question, you give us the option "in what way".
Then you tell us which way you want to us to answer it. So it is real confusing. But I will try....................................................................................................

I'm still thinking..................................................... ........................

.......................................................................................................

Yup I got it. My parents inspired me to marry, I didn't want to as a lot of my freinds were divorced. I was afraid it would happen to me too. They said, "look how happy we are" ? So of course being that they were my mentor, I did get married.

Well I am divorced now. I proved them wrong. Now I am left holding the bag with my children.

How did it feel, lousy to put it mildly.

I know you wanted a more philisophical answer but that is the best one I could think of, being that you did limit me how to answer your question.

So I guess I will only get 2 points for answering.
