im 18 years old and goin to the u.k. in a years time with my boyfriend. i now want to move to another city because of a job promotion. my boyfriend lives in that city, and my parents say the only reason i want to move out is because of him, wich is not true. i want to accept the promotion beacause it means more money, and more money means i can leave for the uk sooner. my boyfriend and i have been talking about moving in together, but thats not a necessity, the job is more important. what should i do to convince my parents???

I had been using this wi-fi setup for almost 4 years without any issues. Although I was connecting between two ends of my apartment home, I'd always been able to connect reliably at 11Mbps. All of a sudden, the connection has gone bad these few days. I can see all five bars on the list of access points but I can barely connect. I'm either disconnected or degraded to 1 or 2 Mbps. I'm suspecting interference from my neighbors in my apartment (I can see many other secured networks) and have tried all 11 channels on my Netgear router but none of the channels seem to have better connections over the other. My Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 on my Sony Vaio has no channel settings in advanced properties but I can connect if I move closer to the router (at any channel). I have power saving turned off on my Vaio. I'm not being connected to my neighbor's networks. All of my wi-fi equipments including router only supports 802.1b. I've tried turning on/off the router and moving it around.

I got 2 roborovski hamsters 6 months ago. They are both male. We were told in the pet shop that they would get along together since they were brothers. For the first month, one was very shy and the other was outgoing. By the end of the second month, I began to suspect some bullying was going on, and a week later I caught them fighting, so I seperated the two of them.

The one which was really shy came out its shell, while the other previously outgoing one withdrew. He won't come out his cage into his ball, he won't take food from you if you poke it through the cage and he is very skitish. It's nearly impossible to get him out of his cage and into his ball so that I can clean his cage. He always just jumps out and gets loose, and they are so quick that it take almost half an hour to catch him before i can even start cleaning his cage. Is there anything I can do to try to make him a little less skitish? The other hamster is now outgoing and loves to be handles. I wish both were!

I have been up two nights, feeding the orphan kitten. My hubby has been helping me, alright - he is much better at feeding the little wee thing. This morning I could not manage to feed the kitten at all, so I asked him to help (I was probably too exhausted) and he agreed. By that stage I was crying cause it was sad to watch the kitty in agony and I said "I can't do this anymore". I was sitting with a screaming kitty for 10 minutes and had to shout to call him down. He fell asleep as it turns out. Then he comes down all grumpy with an air of superiority, would not let me him him. Then he says "if you can't do this, how are you going to have a child". Now, my husband confessed a month ago, that he did not want me to get preganant as he was not sure of our relationship. I know. Is he a nasty piece of work or am I too sensitive and going crazy?

Hi everyone!
I've got a question concerning the battery of a VW Golf (rather a cheap model, but fairly new (2004/05)). What's the average time one can let the stand light switched on until the battery runs flat? The car is not used daily.
It would be important to know where you've got your informations form (sources, etc).
Additionally, can one not assume that a newer model (even if "cheap") would make some sort of noise if one forgets to switch off the lights?
Many thanks for your replies!
