Fossilization requires that the body/bones be in earth that blocks out the oxygen for decomposition and where silica in solution is available to replace the organic materials. This normally means that fossils require the body fall in a silt bed under water and be encased in the silt clay layers.
When a simple burial occurs, unless it is a peat moss lake with lots of tannin, the body deteriorates rapidly being attacked at the microscopic, molecular, and macro levels.

fossilization is when something dies and the bones turn to fossils but burial is when u dig a hole and bury something.
