You are an Adult. I hope you don't expect you parents to pay for anything when you move out. That is not their responsibility. You may ease their minds a bit if you ask them to help you find an apartment near your new job site.

I'm looking at this from a strictly financial point of view. Moving is a big expense, if you get your own place you've got to think of utility connection fees, first and last months rent, and all the items to set up house; cleaning products, food basics etc. By the time all these things are paid, your salary increase has been eaten up by expenses and what is left to save for your trip.
If you move in with your boyfriend, he gets the money saving benefit. Oh, your expenses would be half, but it's still probably more that you pay your parents for room and board, if you pay at all.
From a financial viewpoint you are probably better off with Mom and Dad for the time being.
Is this a job you'd be able to come back to after your trip, if not then that's one more reason to stay at home.
Have a great trip, I had a great time when I visited there for 6 months some years ago. Cheers!

Your parents are dislike your boyfriend or some thing else. But first of all if you are getting promotion then you should accept this without doing delay due to future of carrier. And if once joined your job at that place your parents will also be agreed so first you take your parents in confidence about your boyfriend and told him everything about your friend . I am sure your problem will be solved.

If you can afford to move out on your own, without your parents help, then there really is no convincing needed.
You are 18 years of age, and in the USA that means that you are an adult and no longer need your parents permission to move out.
If you have a good job now, and it means more money, then I say go for it.
good luck and GOD BLESS

Your parents just don't want to see you making any mistakes and perhaps they feel at 18..moving to another city where this guy lives...to get a job with more money so you can go to the UK with this boyfriend....perhaps they feel it is a mistake.
You 'll have to sit them down and let them know HONESTLY that this is what you want to do...to save to go to the UK......and sorry they don't feel it's a good move for you..ask them why is that? and let them know you'll always keep in touch with them, but this is something you really want to do. Have a conversation with them and don't even mention your boyfriend. If they do, go on to something else. If they can't get off of the ONE thing, that is THEIR problem.
You could always try bribing them with promise of better presents, if they are that shallow.
Bottom line is: You are a legal adult, and you have the RIGHT to move out if YOU want.
