yes i used to work in a home for adults with learning disabilities, the residents changed my life they were the most amazing people, one imparticular was a lady, who i took to hospital one night thinking she would be home in a few days, unfortuantely after spending the night at the hospital with her she died in the morning while i was with her, it was the most horendous day of my life so far, but i wouldnt have it any other way she changed my life i will always miss her, but i am much stronger now, and probably wouldnt have changed jobs had that have not happened, i now work in the most supportive team of staff you could imagine and i have nearly finished my first year of my degree with the open uni. Now i am determined to do something to make the lives better for people with learning disabilities, they are seriously fail throughout their whole life.

Yes, my wife. Before I met her, I was in a very deep depression and in a lot of physical and emotional pain from an accident and a divorce. She brought light into my life which at the time was filled with darkness. It didn't make sense for us to be together because she was older than me and my sisters boss, so that was two strikes against me to begin with, however, we became great friends first and then it went from there. She has taught me what faith is about and how to find joy in every day. She has definitely changed my life for the better and without her I may not be here now.

Yep. I had clinical depression for years. During the worst period, I couldn't cope with being on my own and stayed with a friend for a couple of weeks. Every morning and every evening he gave me a hug, which I found strange at first because I came from a family who weren't physically affectionate. I soon became addicted though! I'm now very touchy feely with friends and family - and they are with me. There's nothing better than a hug or a kiss from someone. And I've been depression free for nearly 10 years - perhaps the 2 are related somehow!

Yes, at least there was my agriculture teacher who taught us some 40 years ago. He was a real gentleman since for some reasons I could not find some stems of a certain plant, it was unfamiliar in my hometown. I'm sorry I don't know the technical term related to its process of planting its stems in a box of wet sand for a week or more, the neat cut stems would grow with the roots.
I was sorry I couldn't make it and tried my best to defend my ill success. Of course, he knew I didn't tell the truth and, with kind words, he taught me to be honest and told him the truth since it's a waste of time and not good for my future character. I left him with my great respect and have since regarded him as one of my great teachers, ever.

yes- old and new. each new person we interect with to an certain degree changes out life or outlook on life. I love the way that people can influence others from tiny degrees to massively. It is amazing how humans interact- sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad.

God/Jesus has really changed my life for the better. I'm nowhere near perfect and I'm not a holier than thou christian but I find I'm more loving, caring, more forgiving now than I used to be. of myself as well as others. My little girl also changed my life.

i've encountered someone....it's a writer.
but in the real life, i've only admired the people from whom i've learnt many things.
anyway, the decision with regard to our lives leans upon us, the others could only guide our decisions, not determine them.
