I'm taking an intro to chemistry class and we are supposed to know what Nitrates and Acetates. One example given in class is CH3CO2. How would I know what is a nitrate and what is an acetate just by looking at a formula?

I have been to Europe more than 10 times. The sights, the monuments, the museums, all these take our breathe away. But the people in Europe seems to be in a hurry all the time. In the stores and hotels, the clerks even don't smile. Their faces seems ever being bored with something. Why they don't relax?

I live in Pakistan and have a 17 year old younger brother who has learning difficulties, including dyslexia, ADD etc. In our country, there are no schools/institutes that can offer special education/therapy catering to his needs. Most are for severely disabled students. I want to know if there's any organization in UK that can offer such services or atleast advice me towards right direction? It can be any school, institute or any charity organization? I just need the help urgently.

There was a leftover food that I totally forgotten on the kitchen cabinet. What I saw was tiny maggots breeding in the foods. What caused the maggots? Where do they come from? And what does it become after the maggot stage?

I am sorry if this is yucky but I am very curios as I am scared that the maggots turn to some kinda creatures ( I know I am exxagerating) but it does taught me a lesson to clear my foods !

It is said in philosophy, when you take something from fullness, no alteration in the fullness is felt. What is your considered opinion about this theory. Worldly materials dimnish after you take some thing out. Hence in what context you may consider that fullness will ever remain full?

I was away from my family working for months in late 2005 early 2006 for 10 months. (Hurricane Katrina relief) I had been married 10 years to an amazing wife and mother. I F'ed up down there and had an affair. I can't even tell myself why I did it. Just stupid and selfish. My wife has forgiven me and we now have our womnderful marriage back. She has good days and bad days and I accept that and do everything I can to make it up to her. Here is my question. She never used to drink or smoke and now she does both. She has gotten a tatoo and her nose pierced. Nothing trashy, actually very sexy. Her sex drive although it has always been strong is out of the roof. I feel like she is changing into a different person. Is this normal for what I have put her through? I know she still hurts inside and that kills me, I do not know what else to do but show her all the love I can. Is she going through a phase or have my actions changed her that much? How can I show her that I love and support her...

Mozart is music, Bach is music, the stuff I heard on the car radio by the nine inches nail is just vulgar garbage! They take classical radio stations off the air. None of the great music is on tv. The rip out organs and replace them with rock bands. What can be done. We are becoming a nation of uncultured stupid people.
