there are some sprays for spiders in the section with Raid and all the other insecticides, I don't know how well they work. I got some the other day myself cause I keep getting brown spiders coming in my bathroom for some reason and it's really creeping me out. I'm sure they will kill them on contact, but you might wann try to find something that will stop them from coming in in the first place

I agree with others that most spiders are beneficial, because they eat other bugs. I am more afraid of man-made chemicals than I am of nature.
Then last summer I was bitten by a brown recluse - you never know you have them until it's too late (they're recluses, afterall!) But that's a whole 'nother story!
So I finally gave in to commercial pest control. They treat the attic, the plumbing areas, and the perimeter of the house - and don't just spray wrecklessly along the baseboards like in the olden days. What they're using doesn't have any volatile odor or smell.
I prefer having it done by a professional. I've heard that most bugs have become immune to the retail sprays, unless you drown them in it.
The "normal" spiders are gone, again because the tinier bugs you can't even see are gone - and I'm hopeful the brown recluses are gone too.
Good luck to you.

Okay, you established you "hate spiders". Do you have an attraction to the other bugs?
The only reason spiders are there is because there is something to eat, eg. other bugs.

If they are building webs all over, a quick knock with the broom will get rid of that.
Using insecticides(and you need strong ones for spiders) is using poison, if it kills them it will kill you too.
Spiders are very beneficial in keeping the bugs down to a manageable level.
Once the bugs are gone, the spiders leave too, for better hunting grounds.

Fly sprays and insect killers have little effect on spiders, but they don't like the smell of cloves. I have used a spray for this purpose which I got from Kleeneze and it works, or you could get oil of cloves from you chemist, mix it with some water and use in a spray bottle.

Save them , don't kill them. They are the answer to all your other insect problems. They stay out of the way and are loads more terrified of you than you are of a lil ole spider ! If you have to destroy empty webs, be nice and save that til winter !! If you really have to kill them, learn to love them instead and use a glass and a piece of cardboard and put them out !

DONT KILL THE SPIDERS

the poor little things, just catch them in a container and take them outside if it bothers you. but the more spiders you have the less coacroches and other insects you have.

The best spray is Kerosene, followed by a lit match ... burn the suckers! You might want to remove anything you want to save from your house first!!
