My professor has been lecturing on formyl-Methionine... I understand that prokaryotes use f-MET as the beginning of their protein synthesis, but I guess I need to know why? Why do they need to distinguish from a beginning MET codon from a MET codon downstream?

Will the FBI divulge the type of drugs, and miligrams the killer at Virginia Tech was taking, and why is this information not immediately available to the public? Can the victims seak reperations from the drug companies? I say this because the next day there were articles about antidepressants from the drug companies saying these class of drugs were perfectly safe useing statics.

I'm not necessarily a wiccan, or a witch.

But I've been told I do have the tarot reading ability. So one of my friends came to me, and said.

"you've always been good at divination. I was wondering if you could counteract a dark spell someone put on me?"

I said sure. But I don't know any spells, so if someone knows where I can find a book or a spell to counteract black magic, I would really appreciate it.

I am about to buy a telescope for astronomical use. I have looked at the Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov-Cassegrain varieties and I seem to have an inclination towards the Meade ETX 125PE more than the Celestron Nexstar NX6, but I have no background on any of them to say which is better. I know this is not top of the range, but buying a telescope for any money, it is important to get the right one. Can anyone give me a hand at selecting. My budget is $900 to $1100.

my kids very intimadated when they out, its because mothers fell out she was always askin me fo money, other neighbours warned me but it was too late. I am sitting in my sittinroom and they come ring the bell and stare in the window.Iam at my wits end and dont know what to do.

I have read many sleep books by "sleep trainers" or other "experts" and most of them suggest either crying it out or modified crying it out. Almost all of them instruct you not to pick your child up when they wake during the night if you are doing sleep training. Do these experts not know that babies can't burp themselves?? My 15 month old still wakes crying with burps in the night that he can't get out without help. He can now burp on his own, but I guess he's too tired? when he's sound asleep. Anyway, I just don't understand why the experts ignore this is their sleep training methods. If I had ever let my babies cry it out during they night, they would have spent many nights miserable needing to be burped. It makes me angry that experts ignore this.....especially in very young babies that have not learned how to burp on their own yet.

My husband cheated on me during the first few months we were dating. I happened to be pregnant at the time and decided to try to work things out...I never full recovered but somehow managed. We just had our one year anniversary. We moved to this area a year ago and I have yet to meet any of his friends,(he is military)...He goes out with them on weekends that I convenitly can not attend due to my work. He recently told me that when he was in his home state (I was not present) That he "bumped" into his x girlfriend who he had dated for over 5 years...and he told me they hung out and had a few beers and that I had nothing to worry about. Also...I'v been catching him talking with local girls via the computer...I don't know if anything has gone on with any of the local girls...But I know it's not what a happily married man schould be doing. I guess I just want feed back. I'm scared to be a single mother with two small children...But I don't know what else to do. Any sugustans?

I have noticed many people on the board have said things like this

"There is no such thing as an ex-Christian, that is like saying, "I was once my Mother and Daddy's child, but I am not anymore." If you are not a Christian now, you never were. You may have known the Bible and the teachings forward and backward, but you never truly became and Child of God."

I have noticed this said many times, but none allow email. So why is it that you cannot be Christian and then decide to follow Judaism?

Scientists have learned they were wrong--earth is not the center of the universe, it is not flat, etc. Why are they allowed to learn more but if you are Christian you can never change your mind?

In the case of the woman converting to Judaism, it is not as if you are abandoning god or the principles of the bible. In fact the Ten Commandments were in the Old Testament, and given to Moses (a Jew).
