I have been searching for a job in chicago illinois for months now. Most people say you have to know someone these days to get a job. I am 17 years old in desperate need of a job. Does anyone know of any place that is hiring in chicago illinois?

You don't talk much about skill set or prior work experience. Maybe you can try a temp agency. It may be your best bet if you plan on going to college soon and just want to make a few bucks. I worked for Kelly Services every summer when I was in college. Potential employer's may be reluctant in hiring due to the risk of turnover.

Six Flags-Great America in Gurnee usually hires a lot of teenagers for the summer season.
Have you contacted the Job Corps? They are often a big help to teenagers looking to begin their working lives.
