My drinking ! I am a recovering alcoholic, and because of God's grace, I have been sober since 1998. I went cold turkey, on the same day(moment), on liquor, cigarettes, & anxiety meds. over-dosing . The doctor said I should have ended up in the loony bin doing that, but I had prayed and asked God to please take the desire for those things away, and he did ! That, so help me God, is the truth. He delivered me from a certain death, because I was drinking & driving all over & never once got caught or hurt anyone. Only God can do the impossible, impossible for us that is. Thanks for the question. It gave me the chance to maybe help someone else who is so burdened they don't know where to turn. Give it God, and do not take it back !!!!!

We who have been forgiven much - love much!
1. Smoking cigarettes - I quit a thousand times, but God delivered me from them. I smoked 40 years.
2. My daughter went in an ambulance to TX. Children's Hosp. in a coma brought on by her condition and the hospital from which she was transported put her in a coma. Type I diabetic was her diagnosis at age 11.
3. My daughter age 38 had to be placed on dialysis because her kidneys were failing because of her diabetes. Nine eye surgeries because of diabetes
4. My daughter had pancreas and kidney transplants and an ovary removed all at the same time a year and a half ago.
These are a few things out of my control, but I've learned the best thing to do is immediately turn any problem over to God.
The faster I release it to God the faster He takes care of it. I can prolong it forever if I keep thinking I can do it without God.
Stinkin' Thinkin' is a sin in its self.

Life in general. I was tired of feeling that I was living to die. That I really didnt matter. No it wasnt low self esteem. Just the fact of how much of a difference do we really make? The Bible delivered what it said. If I search with all my heart mind and soul I would find Him. And I did knocking at my hearts door. He gave me joy in this life. I know what I was made to do. Do I make all the right choices? No of course not. And all of you who are going to give me thumbs down. Have you ever really put your trust in the Lord? Searched for Him? Enjoy the peace He can give you here on earth? I know its kind of lame but its true dont knock it til you try it. I tried it and live it and love it. Amen Peace out..............

This is one of my favorite poems because it reminds me that I need God's help daily and not just in extraordinary circumstances.
I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me.
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

Nothing goes beyond my control and if it did then I'm sure that god wouldn't fix it.
He'd probably just say he's being supportive.

any problem that I have which I feel is impossible for me to handle, I think to myself "leave it up to God and it will be ok in the end" and sure enough, it IS ok in the end!
