Most of the married couples I know had sex before marriage. Some divorced, yes, but it had nothing to do with the sex. Many of them are still together, some for over 40 years.
I think it's better to find out what you're getting yourself into before you commit your life to someone.

That probably depends on the couple. Some people I know have been married for a number of years and are still going strong, some people that I know are divorced. Whether or not sex before marriage was the cause of the divorce is another question.

Male mammals love the one they've most recently had sex with. It's as simple as that. If a young man is a virgin when he is married he will be totally enslaved to his bride and this gives her all the power in the relationship. On the other hand, when a sexually experienced young man marries, his pair-bonding instincts are somewhat lessened. This gives him a more reasonable perspective about the relationship and allows him to assert his maleness. He knows, if she becomes an unreasonable tyrant, that he can simply leave her and he will eventually find another to love. In other words, an experienced male is much less likely to be totally enslaved by his wife.
Can't speak for the female point of view......

What difference does it make if a guy with a big hat says some words or not? If this causes problems in a relationship then the relationship wasn't very strong to begin with.

One of the most healthy marriages I know of began with sex on the first night (or so I'm told).
most marriages where people waited until marriage for sex seem to fall apart quickly - people find themselves married to strangers, or unsatisfied by spouses seek satisfaction elsewhere.

We lived together for eight or nine years with four kids and then got married. No problems.
If I had married some of those lame screws I met before I knew how bad they were it would have ended in divorce.

Absolutely not! My husband and I had sex before we were married and we have a fantastic relationship.
How is it supposed to cause these alleged problems, and what sort of problems?
