My stepbrother gave me more than 5,000 baseball cards from 1991 and 1990. I am trying to sell them. Do you know where I can sell them other than ebay to try and get atleast $500 for them? They are all in MINT CONDITION. thanks for all your help.

You won't get much for them. 1990-1991 was a horrible time for baseball stars as well as value for basecall cards.

Unless you've got a lot of star players in there, you won't get much. Common cards from that era have a book price of only a couple cents, but even that assumes you can find a buyer.

If I were you, I'd buy a copy of Beckett's (a monthly baseball card price guide) and go through the cards, picking out any that aren't commons. I'd sell those individually (via Ebay or some other method) and then sell the rest to any card shop willing to take them.

You are not likely to get much value for the cards. The best bet for getting money is to break them up into multiple lots by player. Then sell the lots individually. You can hope that fans of an individual player will come in and give you a decent price for the lot. There's lots of people out there specifically collecting Greg Maddux or Barry Bonds, etc.

Also, keep an eye out for any particularly rare cards (like special promo cards ...Mother's Cookies or something like that) as they can sometimes fetch a decent price sold individually.

Last idea is to separate the cards into random lots of, say, 100 cards and sell them at 10 bucks a pop. This only really works if you have a few REALLY high dollar cards that can make the lottery chance of getting one more attractive. Your listings would feature a CHANCE of getting one of those good cards at a low price.

Sold as a single lot, you won't get much at all I'm afraid.

No way you will get $500 for them. I collected during this time period and know that the value of the cards that I have for these years are not worth much at all. You will be lucky to get $50-$100 for these cards, even if you do have 5000 of them. Sorry, but there's a reason your stepbrother just gave them to you and didn't bother to sell them himself.

If they Topps Stadium 1991, you might get some money back. Topps created their premuim card Stadium Club in 1991 and it was then a revolutionary baseball card. I think Mike Mussina has a rookie card in TSC 1991. You might want to see if a local baseball card seller is willing to buy it.
