For those who believe that we had broken the Japanese military code before Pearl Harbor, why then did we allow Wake Island to fall? Wake Island, along with Midway and Hawaii were considered strategic defense points in the pacific by the US. So what’s the reason to allow Wake Island to fall?

If we knew what the Japanese military was doing we could have stopped the Japanese navy from invading the island while inflicting heavy losses on the Japanese fleet. Germany had already declared war on us so the main reason for ‘allowing’ the attack to occur was over. We had an opportunity to outnumber the Japanese navy (3 carriers against 2) but sent only one carrier, which took its time.

me and my ex broke up like 2 months ago nd things looked good so i thought we might get bak together again so i asked her to the prom. then she started liking this guy and hangs out/talk alot with him but im still not over her. were still going, as friends. but yesterday i asked her "so u like him alot eh?" she said yes so i kinda just felt terrible.. but w/e. shes the shift leader for the place i work so i just started talking about the ppl there, and i said dont schedule me with this person she dosnt do ne thing and not this person (girl) cuz its awkward. then she kept asking me why its awkward? stuff like did y'all do something or something. i said no (which is true, could've but i didnt want to cuz im not over her). so finally i got to this other girl. so i was like shes the only one i can stand, and shes new so she asked me again. did ya'll do someting? i was like no just texted alot lately. she asked friends with benifits? said no, then she left. plz email me for more details

The universe at a subatomic has a basic symetry to it (e.g electrons and protons) with equal amounts of each opposite particle (e.g quarks) so why doesn't this apply to matter and antimatter?

Why don't they exist in equal amounts in order to maintain cosmic balance?

If they do exist in equal amounts why didn't they just annihilate each other at the begining of the universe when they were in relatively close proximity?

I have 2 kids with allergies!!,pollen. I have tried humidifiers but does not seem to work for them. I was wondering if an air purifier would help better. I just air-cleaned my house so it must be a really bad allergy season!! If you know any other tricks,please share it with me...thanks

I'm 22, she's 26, NYC, been married for 3 years, but unofficially separated for a year. I finally decided we should get a divorce a couple weeks ago. We have no kids and we don't own anything, nothing like that, no alimonies. She wasn't a citizen until I married her, however, she has made it quite clear to me that becoming a citizen wasn't her agenda and that she was in fact in love with me at the time. I trust her on this. However, my father and his friend don't and think otherwise, they even have the idea in their head that it was her idea to get married so she can be a citizen when it was really MY idea, they don't believe me to this day.

So, there's a debit card and a couple credit cards, under my name, which she still has in her possession, she's not using them and says she's going to get everything together and give it back to me all at once she just needs some time 'cuz shes going through a rough period with the death of her grandmother, work, and other issues.
