Do you really believe this is the Big Question God is asking us?
Wow.
What I find so interesting is that you have framed this question as a choice between the two "Messiahs" of the two most dangerous religions in the world today.
Yes, that is correct. I have broken the Politically Correct canon and declared not just Islam, but Christianity too, as a threat to the survival of the human race.
If you're open-minded enough to explore exactly how this might be so, check out the book "End of Faith" by Ed Harris. Great book.
In a nutshell, this is my basis for this heretical response:
1. Islam is basically the next logical step in the decline of Western Spirituality; whereas Christianity believed, "we're right; everyone else is wrong. We will aim to convert you; to "save" you. If you refuse to be "saved," God will send you to the flaming pits of Hell." Islam takes that one step further, stating basically that "If you don't convert to our ways, you are an 'infidel' and WE will send you to the flaming pits of Hell."
2. We can argue and debate all day about the "peace-loving"as pects of both religions, but the bottom line in each case is that each respective belief system believes true peace belongs only to those who believe, and in a world framed thusly, peace on earth regardless of religion will never be possible.
3. Most dangerous of all, both religions firmly believe that we are going to see the "End Times" in our lifetime. Granted, each generations has believed this since those first years after Christ's alleged resurrection and not seen it come to fruition, but each generation has - in its own way - contributed to this becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's like the classic Psych 101 example of the girl who firmly believes she will die by the time she is thirty; she will have a much greater chance of actually dying by the time she is thirty than any of her peers because she will subconsciously do things to put herself at greater risk, and feel less motivated to take precautions she might otherwise take to prevent it, since it is "a given."
4. Lastly, if you don't believe me, just look at the world around you. The entire world is held hostage right now in a war between Christianity and Islam. It's the Crusades all over again on a much larger and much more expensive scale. It's a thinly veiled battle of ideologies. "Our side" paints them as the fanatics - an they are - they just aren't the only ones in this who are fanatical. What else would you call a war campaign spear-headed by a man who declares himself "called by God" to this task, who brazenly carries out his agenda with absolute disregard for the will of the people who "elected" him to represent their best interests, or the other elected officials (in Congress and Senate) our system of governement is supposed to hold in equal importance to the Executive Branch, etc., etc., etc....?
Sorry, but if God is asking us to "choose" between Jesus or Mohammed, He would have to be a very petty and trifling God indeed, and of no greater spiritual wisdom than the humans who kill each other over that same question today. Believing God to surpass us in the area of spiritual wisdom and strength, I would think he rather laments this debate and the Jihad it fuels.
It is my opinion that the worst blasphemy of all human history is the belief that the incomprehensibly vast and mighty God behind the creation of the Cosmos can be reduced to definitions, explanations, and dogmas as framed in any "Holy Book." If God is truly Infinite, then there must be Infinite paths to Him. If THIS were something all men could agree upon, then both Jesus and Mohammed would be viable as two of many paths. It is only in framing it as a question of ONLY one OR the other that we paint ourselves into a spiritual corner.

There are NO Spiritual answers in religion,
just lies and deceptions...

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
