Paranoia good for you? Especially after seeing everything going on with the Virginia Tech shooting today. I know you're not supposed to be so paranoid that it affects you living your life, but sometimes it hard not to be. For instance, I get paranoid when i'm out at night, or sometimes at the mall when I see people that I think look "suspicious". And I know all it is, is stereotyping and its not good to label people, however, how can you help it? People shoot others at malls. Also with churches. People have in the past and even recently went into churches and shot people, whether its during the service or during a weekly bible study. At a lot of churches i've been to, people sit with their backs to the door. It's enough to not make you even want to go to church anymore. I don't even want to fly because of everything that happened on 9/11. I guess i'm going a little overboard, but isn't a little paranoia okay sometimes...maybe even lifesaving?

The original Iamacatholic2 has never asked questions. He only answers and his answers are straight as an arrow on Catholic teaching. He does not get insulting.
The clone ask insulting questions and gives insulting answers. He uses the same Avatar as the original.
However, when the original answers, he has Top Contributor under his avatar.
Unfortunately Yahoo questions and answers is not set up to stop a person from using someone else's i.d. like a signon to a web program.

I have a "nested" sliding door between my Kitchen and Dining room. The people who lived here before me put in new linoleum flooring and it's built up so high that the door does not come out now. Does anyone know how I can get this door out so I can use it, without destroying the floor?

I am thinking of the effects of having user-generated content presented as "fact", when it has not necessarily been generated by an expert.
Is it a good thing to think that knowledge is just a matter of opinion and that everybody should have the right to be considered an expert, no matter how flawed their reasoning?

I mean a lot of people answeed my question but said they couldnt abide living in heaven with murderers and child rapists. But these people are in my opinion wrong as the whole point of Jesus coming was FOR SINNERS and that must include all the worst in society. So to say otherwise is not only contradicting Jesus but in my opinion very judgemental for a christian. Remember" let him who is without sin cast the first stone". People can be so cruel and non loving that it really disturbs me.

Like the recent one at Virginia Tech? How often do you see films in theaters, for example, where guns and killing are a major attraction. When I see young kids wearing Scarface on a t-shirt or view the actual content of games like Grand Theft Auto, it makes me wonder it's value at all.

I lived in a place where the water, like the sewer, was free...i.e, paid for by local taxes. Now, where I live, the water is billed separately (sewer is still bundled with the local taxes.) So is water supply billed separately considered a tax?

Even if it were against the law to have a gun, they would still be accessible. Just like drugs are....they're illegal but people still get them everyday. So if guns were illegal and you wanted one bad enough you could get one on the street.
What happened this morning is tragic, but I wish everyone would stop trying to find someone to blame this on. The only one we can blame this on is the one who done it and he is DEAD now so let God deal with him and everyone chill on the Blame Game.

First off, I am willing to bet fire arms are illegal to have on that campus. Second, that person had fire arms even though it was illegal. Now if some others there had fire arms, couldn't they have defended themselves? I am not saying they should have fire arms, i just don't understand why people are blaming this on the second amendment.
