Even if it were against the law to have a gun, they would still be accessible. Just like drugs are....they're illegal but people still get them everyday. So if guns were illegal and you wanted one bad enough you could get one on the street.
What happened this morning is tragic, but I wish everyone would stop trying to find someone to blame this on. The only one we can blame this on is the one who done it and he is DEAD now so let God deal with him and everyone chill on the Blame Game.

Some of you aren't seeing what I am saying...HE wanted to do this, HE set his mind to it and HE done it. Legal or illegal wouldn't have mattered to him.
BUT on the other hand if someone else would have been carrying a gun, they could have shot him dead after his first victim instead of 30.

Maybe there should be a law made to make it illegal to shoot someone... Oh wait...IT'S ALREADY ILLEGAL.
Laws will NEVER stop a criminal.
As mentioned above...DC banned them, armed robbery went up.
The laws only tell criminals that the law abiding citizens aren't allowed to be armed.
Let's just consider the other extreme...
What if EVERYONE had a personal firearm?
I'll bet my right hand that the criminal would only have gotten off one or two shots before taking one himself. He would have been stopped.
It's not the gun...it's the person behind it.

Well you have a very valid point, playing the blame game won't do anything and is virtually a waste of time. Unfortunately in American society, when something like this happens, we don't just say "Oh well. The shooter is dead so we can't do anything about who to put this on." Imagine if you were a parent, sibaling, friend, relative, etc. of a person shot. Would you be glad if you turned on the news and no one was working on this case and no media was questioning about the situation at hand? No lockdown called for, only emails sent for protection, easy gun accesibility, chains on doors, etc. are all factors as to how this happened and who to blame for this.
So while it virtually solves nothing and probably isn't totally necessary, in our society, it is only right to solve who to blame and figure out all the factors to the massacre.

The reason he did this ied when the shooter died..we willnever know we can only speculate..and if the govt was to outlaw guns we are going to have to at quadruple our police force as a nation because the criminals will know this and be a lot more aggressive when they go to rob people Ilinois & Wisconsin are the only 2 states that ban a person from legaly carrying a gun..to me a person should be able to protect himself at home or out and about, for person to carry a weapon they need to pass a course BEFORE they issue a FOID card

Would you mind keeping God out of your question? What good has Christianity done for the United States? We have the world's largest prison population.

No. There are those people here in this nation who believe that we shouldn't have banned automatic assault weapons from society's reach in the first place.
These are also the same people who spawned such tragedy like Columbine and other school shootings--because they believe that the means justifies the end.
And so there is no inhibition to hold them in check, and so there is no accountability.
There are REASONS why we put such bans in place, in the first place.

You're right. Guns don't kill people. Guns just make it easier to kill people.

are u retarded? if something is illegal to have, then less people have it. ex. Prohibition- less people drank, a lot less, because it was illegal. Granted some people did secretly drink in speak easy's and make alcohol in the homes, but less people did it. If owning a gun was illegal, there would be less killings cause less people would own them.
