I'm making chocolate martinis this weekend. My recipe calls for Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur, but that stuff is ~$30 a bottle, and I need at least the whole bottle.

Are there any good, inexpensive substitutes for this?

Or is my scale ruining?
I've had it since as long as I can remember..[which isn't too, too long,lol] Maybe 5 years or so..
Sometimes when I step on it it'll say 2 pounds more and then when I get off it'll be on 2 instead of 0.
But this time it was 5 more and on about 1 when I got off.

I highly doubt I could've gained that much in 1 week..I didn't eat that much, and exercised plenty..so...yeah...

More people than this are killed every day in Iraq.

Because they were killed in VA and not in Iraq it's horrible, tragic, unthinkable, disguisting, appalling, etc.?

Yes, it's horrible that some wackjob opened fire at a college campus.

Are the kids' lives more important than soldiers' lives or Iraqi lives?


40-50 killed in Iraq doesn't make the 10 o'clock news anymore, but a college shooting is soooo tragic?

I fail to see the difference between human lives and their worth.

According to James Bruce, in "Travels to Discover the Source of the Nile, vol IV," he used his knowledge of an eclipse to escape the wrath of the Sheikh of Beyla. (Beyla being in Republic of Guinea today)

"If the afternoon of that [Friday] shall pass like those of common days, I am a worthless man and an imposter; butif on thatday after four o'clock a sign be seen in the heavens that shall be thought by all of you unusual and extraordinary, then I am an innocent man."

Further, it is claimed that there was indeed a total eclipse visable at ten minutes past four. To me, this seemed unlikely, particularly in such a near equitorial locale.

Help!!! In July of 2005, the duplex my boyfriend and I, along with our two small children, were renting caught fire. We were in the dwelling when it caught fire. I was cooking in the kitchen, my b/f in the living room watching T.V. (he was disabled at the time, if that matters), my youngest baby asleep, and my 2 year old son was playing.
I started to smell something burning while I was cooking, and at first, assumed it was the food. Then, my 2 year old son runs into the kitchen, pointing franticaly at my bedroom. I looked in that direction, and the room was lit up. I ran in there and saw my closet going up in 8 ft. flames. There was a hot water heater in this closet, if that matters. I called my b/f, he came in, we tried to beat the flames out with pillows (we were panicked) for maybe a minute. We saw that wasn't working, So, I ran out of the room, grabbed my 2 babies, and ran out of the house and to a neighbor's. Told them to call 911 fast! My b/f ran out less than a minute later,

I'm aware of my mother's controlling tendencies which I think stem from her upbringing being based around a 9-5 existence from ages 16-65 yet I work freelance never any two days the same. Also, my girlfriend split from her husband 7 months ago and whilst I recognise the validity of her comments, I wonder if she's focusing on this in order to avoid issues in her failed mariage.
