Today I was riding my bike, just for fun. There was a cable hanging over the street, it was hanging too low. At the last moment I saw that cable, I ducked. I was lucky to see it, or else my head would have been cut off.

When I visit this section and read the answers, do I really have to assume the following events happened?
1) the Devil woke up bored this morning, and hung a cable above some street
2) the Devil sat in his chair, waiting for me to pass that road
3) God woke up, he saw me riding the bike and called some angels
4) Angels landed on my shoulder, and moved my eyes towards the cable
5) Angels pressed on my back, to make me duck
6) The Devil is defeated again by a loving God.

Yay!

Is that really how things happen?

left and right? I do.....Some one will ask me 'Which way do I turn?' and I say 'Right' when I mean left... all the stinking time...and I ain't no spring chicken either, so you's think I 'd have out grown this problem.......But no........ that would be the mature thing to do!

i live in a 3 bedroom trailer with a husband and 3 kids and i'm working on making myself a hobby area for when the kids are napping or i'm (on rare occasion) alone. i do flower arrangements and knit, sometimes i'd like to have a nice solid surface (other than the kitchen table) to use for these hobbies. with very little room i'm trying to get ideas to make myself my hobby "room." so if you can post good ideas and pictures to get me going, that would be great. thanks

what would you choose?

I'd have pan sauteed parmesan grouper and rice pilaf with asparagus with crabmeat hollandaise sauce and a delicious glass of vino, followed by key lime baked alaska.....alas I'm not feeling THAT adventrous, so I'll have a glass of water and some crackers instead.

Is there a single Prophecy where it says that the name of the Messiah will be JESUS, and that his mother's name will be MARY, that his supposed father will be JOSEPH THE CARPENTER; that he will be born in the reign of HEROD THE KING, etc. etc.? No! There are no such details! Then how can you conclude that those 'thousand' Prophecies refer to Jesus (Peace be upon him)?"

Over 4 mos my mother had 3 transactions through a car dealership, totaling over 75000.00 in financing. The first car has not been registered or tagged (purchased in December). The second car has been registered and tagged (purchased in February). The third car is still sitting on the dealers lot (purchased in March). My mother's credit is not in the best standings and she lives on a fixed income. Does this sound deceptive in anyway to anyone? What would be her possible outcome?? What should be her next step in resolving this?

My friends loser soon to be ex-husband wrote a check for $800.00 and then "forgot" to sign it. Meanwhile has not paid $1.00 towards anything since January. She was a stay home mom with 2 kids and the jerk has not given her any money. She gets calls daily from creditors asking for money and saying they are coming to take her car. He hasn't paid the mortgage, but refuses for her to sell it. She is having to live with no heat & eating with friends just to survive. So he dangles a check in front of her and "forgets" to sign it - so she forged his signature to pay the electic bill - Which was over $800.00 - they said they were turning off her power. He is a drug addict that has cleaned out all of their savings and makes good money - but is hiding it all from his soon to be ex-wife. But then pretends to miss his children - but hasn't given them any money since January. Now he tells her that he is pressing charges and she is going to jail for forging his name. What should she do?
