You might have a bug. Go to www.pandasoftware.com and run a FREE on line scan. If there's any viruses, they will remove them.
If they find any spyware or malware, I would recommend you go over to www.geekstogo.com and follow the instructions there.
It's kind of hard to explain what needs to be done, if I don't know exactly what it is you have.
Check them out and good luck.
The people at geekstogo are really helpful. They have helped me more than once. And they do it for FREE

I have had tis problem too but the funny thing was that if I was looking at porn and I clicked on a picture I got google in a new window. Was very annoying as you could imagine. Just going to go for a zoom in on a nice girl etc etc, and I get ****ing GOOGLE. This is more annoying than what you have lol.
I had AVG anti virus and ad-aware but no amount of scanning got rid of the problem. Sometmes I got a search engine called SEDO Parking.
The only way I got rid of it was to reload windows and I made sure I set up system restore to restore more often.
Hope this helps

Get yourself Ad-Aware SE for starters: http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
Do you have a firewall? McAfee, Norton, Zone Alarm? If you do not have these, or very good virus scanners, chancers are you are being attacked. Run scans to see what is up!! Also, sometimes the pages google finds are other search engines. This is because even though they are not what you are looking for, they have as many hits for a keyword as any other site.

It sounds like a virus. You will get plenty of answers reccommending anti virus programmes but the other answer if you do not have a lot of software you can not save is to re load Windows if you have a restore C.D. or try the restore facility if you have Win. XP.

It sounds like your browser has been hijacked. Get a copy of HijackThis and run a scan to identify the culprit.

you probably have spyware, malware or adware on your computer from downloading music or other files. Download one of the programs:
Spybot Search and Destroy(free)
Ad-Aware(free)
Spyware Doctor(unsure)
from www.download.com and then they should remove the problem.
