yes, i am a vegetarian. it can be hard to be a veg. at times since you always have to be on your toes. you cant just eat whatever, especially if it is something you dont know. i always ask if it has meat in it. there are also positive sides to it, one of them being that you have this feeling of happiness since you know that you are not eating animals. being a vegetarian can be healthy since you aren't taking the extra animal fat into your body, making you fat. but it can also be unhealthy because there is a lack of protein when you just eat leaves.
there are also different types of vegetarians. you can be a pure vegetarian, which is where you refuse to eat any meat or dairy products, such as eggs. there is also the second type of vegetarian, which is where you cannot eat meat, but can eat fish or eggs.
i personally am in the middle, since i dont eat fish but eat eggs.
think about it & make the right decision.

I'm not a vegetarian, but for lent this year I decided that I would become one. I didn't find it as hard as I thought that I was going to and the recipes I made were very nice. I'm not a big meat eater anyway so I didn't miss not eating it. I think to a certain extent being a vegetarian is healthier, as you are not eating as much fat, and you do eat more vegetables well I certainly found that I did.
I would say if you want to become one just do it gradually don't just wake up one morning and decide that you are going to do it. Also think about why you have decided that you want to become one and then go for it if that's what you really want to do

I am not a vegetarian but I do not eat a lot of meat for dietry reasons! I substitute meat with quorn products because they are healthier for you and yes I do feel alot better. You will find that you 'go' more regularly and have a lot more energy. Remember that the gut can not digest meat and carbohydrates like rice pasta and potato at the same time so this slows down the process meaning that you gain weight.
I do have the odd slice of ham every now and again..

I have been vegetarian for about 10 years, so I speak from experience when I say, You can be a healthy vegetarian and you can be an unhealthy vegetarian.
either way--I feel better always, morally.
and as a healthy vegan, I feel super.

I am not a vegetarian myself, but one of my closest friends is, and she is definately the healthest person I know. My advice for you is if you want to be a vegetarian, then go ahead! Just eat proper meals, and don't do it too suddenly. Cut the meat out slowly then stop all together, then it won't be too sudden! Good luck!

As a animal rescuer and animal rights person I feel guilty when I eat meat trying to save a animal and yet eatin one seems hipocritical to me. as far as bein healthy I dont know but its a load off my mind. i'm veggie 99% of the time, but i will (on occasions) eat tiny bits of meat. i feel ok without meat, i'm healthy enough. yes it's healthy to be vegetarian, otherwise no-one would want to become one if it wasn't!

I feel good to be a veggie and I've been veggie for 15 years now!
You should try a two week veggie-fest and just see how u go. Some people do have meat cravings REALLY BADLY like my mates sister (who totally munches out on ham sandwhiches and thinks nobody knows!!!)
Just be true to yourself and try cutting out meats one by one.
It's great to try, so try no beef for a acouple of weeks, then say to yourself, "i'm ready to cut out pork now"
and so on.
Good luck and best wishes.
