Ok, I am an Atheist, (If that matters at all) and I feel that the bible is a fictional book full of stories that are supposed to help us run our lives better, and help to guide us to be better people, I also think that the bible isn't supposed to be taken literally, b/c it's just a bunch of moral-filled stories... Am I the only person that think this?

Have a nice day, everybody!

I am having an openhouse/ housewarming party today and wanted to know the proper etiquette for opening gifts. We said no gifts on the invitations, but if someone does bring something, should I wait until after the party to open it, or should I open it as they are coming in the door?

Also, if I receive a bottle of wine, do I open it to share with everyone?

Thanks

I'm sick and tired of receiving calls from people or businesses who don't want to display either their phone numbers or their names, and where I live I don't have the capability of blocking such unwanted calls.

The caller (as the intruder) is the one who bears the responsibility of disclosing who he/she is and who they represent, and to want to hide their identity is to be callous and cowardly, and that most definitely include businesses who should be more than willing to identify themselves if for no other reason, in order to stay in business.

Those who want to block their identity are cowards who do not deserve my time or consideration, and are NOT welcome to call me.

Paul wrote and said that the person who has been reborn by the Holy Spirit of God is resurrected in the same manner that Christ Himself was resurrected and glorified. Having a body that is immortal and never aging nor ever experiencing sin, sickness or the pain of death ever again thus going on to be with those who are in heaven but to those who do not receive this new life in Christ, their spirit goes to a place that is prepared for Lucifer and his fallen co-horts (demons). And this place is called hell. Paul also wrote that after the Great White Throne judgement of God those whose names who are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life were cast alive into a Lake of Fire and those who refused to receive cleansing by the blood of Christ. This is why no religion can save a soul. Only Jesus Christ can give new life to those who come to him by faith and he anoints them to become kings in his coming kingdom. Go to trumpetmin.org

Hi. I'm 15 years old, and I have been a complete vegetarian since I was 10 (no meat, poultry, gelatin, and other by-products). Two years ago I decided to become a vegan, but my doctor told my parents that I was too young, so they didn't let me. As a strong animal rights activist, I feel like a hypocrite eating dairy products, since I'm aware of the extreme abuse of dairy-producing animals on factory farms. I've decided to become a vegan again, but I was looking at a list of what they can't eat, and it's overwhelming! What can I eat as a substitute for cheese, milk, eggs, etc.?

Jihad vs. McWorld is the title of a 1992 essay by political scientist Benjamin R. Barber, in which he puts forth a theory that describes the struggle between "McWorld" (globalization and the corporate control of the political process) and "Jihad" (tradition and traditional values, often in the form of extreme nationalism or religious orthodoxy and theocracy).

You can read the essay here: http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/199203/barber

Also, is it more complicated that this; are corporate interests manipulating the religious orthodoxy to do their bidding (e.g. the Christian-right’s support of the Iraq war)?

I want to get a tat, and it's original, I can't find any designs or anything, online, or anywhere. It's going to be a simple cross with a bit of scripture around it, nothing too complicated, all black, and fairly small. My question is, do I need to get a stencil for it, cause I've heard that your absolutely not supposed to get a tat without one. I would think they might be able to make one, or just free hand it.

Do I need one?
