Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Jean Grey. I would give her the #2 spot.

Not the answer I'm looking for though. I'll put my answer on these details after a few more answers (in about 3 days). Then you can tell me if my answer is wrong. Thanks for the answers, keep thinking.

The She-Hulk
Wonder Woman
Rogue

Jean Grey as the Dark Pheonix is the most powerful female, the others are just strong in raw power.

Oh and not to forget Death, she's a female and pretty dangerous, you don't wanna screw around with her, you know what I mean? Of course, if you're Thanos that doesn't matter. However, The Pheonix does have the power to come back to life after she's killed, so Death wouldn't really work on her, and anyway I think Death would have to touch or come close to The Pheonix and I don't think she'll be able 2 do that.

Oh wait, actaully I forgot one, second to the Living Tribunal in the Marvel Universe there is only Eternity, Infinity and someone else I forget, but anyway my point is that Infinity is a woman I believe, and she is way more powerful then Death or The Pheonix, she can change the universe at her own will, so I'll put my money on her, well actually now that you made me think so much, she is the most powerful female!

The End.

P.S. Infinity is more powerful then the Beyonder!

Most powerful in which way…? The all time most powerful (Marvel) character was Allison (Dazzler) Blaire, when the Beyonder shared half his power with her. (He was more powerful than everyything else in the Marvel Universe combined, so she was arguably more powerful, too.)

Third would have to be Dark Phoenix. Posing as Jean Grey. The REAL Jean Grey is also up there. Then, Nova (Galactus’ herald; just as powerful as Norin Radd.)

Oh, second…? In the Marvel Universe, Death is female. Thanos said so.

DC-wise, probably Supergirl, Wonder Woman… the standards. Maybe Firehawk, with her atomic restructuring powers.

Nova Kane (E-Man’s girlfriend) also had energy powers like his, for a while. He was played mostly for comedy, but was never shown to have any real limits, so….

Had enough…?

Regarding most powerful female: Here are two more possibilities, then I am done. Enchantress, and if a female Beyonder exists, then that would be the one. Don't know any others, and I DO know the charactes I listed are very powerful.

O.K., Here's another one I thought of in terms of power--not strength, but power; DEATH. Death is depicted as a female character in the Marvel Universe, and is the bride Thanos seeks. Death can wipe out all with just a blink. I can't think of any other, but I may.

D.C.:

Wonder Woman. With a strength level rivaling Superman's, she is also adept with her weapons, and she is a magical being, in essence, and there is little she is susceptible to, with exception of magics and similar powerful characters.

After Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Supergirl, and Mary Marvel are absolute top contenders.

MARVEL:

I am editing this, and adding Scarlet Witch. She demonstrated she could alter the entire Marvel Universe when she went berserk. Forgot about her.
TIE:

Sersi (an Eternal) and Phoenix (both incarnations)

I think these two are so closely matched, that I have to make it a tie. They both have similar powers, but Phoenix does not have super-strength, and Sersi does. However, Phoenix has greater telepathic powers, while Sersi has limited telepathic abilities. Both characters can transmute beings and objects. Phoenix can wield more energies, but Sersi is immortal and invulnerable, while Phoenix is not. They are very closely matched, and while one character has a strength, the other has a flaw, but if you check out their powers, they are very, very closely matched.

Pure strength probably goes to She-Hulk, and I think Titania is very close, but her ego has a weakness.

Depends on whether you're looking for raw power or other.

Phoenix (Marvel), X'Hal (DC) are among the top heavies.

Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and any female Green Lantern.

But I'm sure there are others out there.
