on 3/16 me and me ex had a misunderstanding and he grabbed on my clothes and my hair while trying to remove me from a cab, he broke my phone, yelled some obsenities, and then spit on me. I told him he would never get me back, i could forgive but not forget. ever since then he's always begging and "baby this, baby that". And part of me wants to believe him, but the other half is to scared to be a fool for giving him a second chance. So he says he will never let himself loose control again, but i don't believe him. Do you think it's possible he can change??

FIRST- I don't want to offend and I don't want anyone to write anything inflammatory in response to my question.

QUESTION-
I recently went to a Protestant Non-Denomenational church with a friend of mine. I'm not a Christian, but I've read about the religion and read some of the Bible. Anyway, I realized during the sermon that the people in this particular church believe that hell is a real physical place with real physical tortures that a person suffers for all of eternity.

I always thought that hell was more metaphorical in the Christian faith- like living in the darkness of not having knowledge of self and God and love. But now it turns out that these people believe it to be a real place.

How common is that amoung Christians nowadays (not in the past)? How many of you believe in a literal heaven/hell and how many believe it is more interpretative or metaphorical?

Also, what is heaven like? Do you think that you will keep your own personality or merge with God?

I might want to go to a tanning salon but I don't know anything about it.
What do i wear there?
Will anyone see me in less than street clothes?
Do I make an appointment?

How long does it take?

Should I skip out on makeup before I go?

I'm going through a seperation and in the process of getting a book published. I want to ensure that any money I make from this book does not end up in my soon to be ex's hand. I'm always confused as to why when I or anyone else for that matter asks a question about Christianity that I receive biblical quotes rather than a direct, personal answer. Why do you feel the need to quote scripture when I'd really rather hear from you, yourself? I find it much more personal and interesting. Namaste!

This is my first year playing, and we start workouts next week. Our tryouts aren't until the beginning of August, but I don't know what workouts on the side I should do! We are going to be doing speed and agility with the high school football team twice a week and then we have open gym once a week. We start weight training later on. I don't want to make a fool of myself, so I'm working with my friend who is a state champion volleyball player for some help. Can you all offer me some help with suggestions on nutrition and things I should be doing on the side to help get me in shape to play volleyball? I want to hopefully make the team so I don't have to be on the women's golf team for the third year in a row.

any help is appreciated.
