I've been taking birth control pills for the last 2 months and last night I took 3 EPT tests which all came up positive. My oh so fabulous boyfriend told me that I'm probably not pregnant it's just that the birth control pills are tricking my body into thinking it is and that's why these tests came up positive. Is this true?

So, many hold that current world events are signs that the End Times are upon us. We have wars. We have natural disasters. We have diseases. We have starving children. Etcetera. I'm wondering how right now is any different than the hundreds of other times throughout history when we have had wars, devastating natural disasters, pestilence killing the masses.

Take, for example, the Black Death. The early 1300's were marked by great famine throughout Europe. Then along comes the bubonic plague, killing an estimated 75 million people worldwide. This also devastated the economy. At the same time, the Hundred Years' War broke out. The change in culture led to a vast rethinking of faith and religion and provided a foundation for later overhauls such as the Renaissance and Reformation. If anything, I would say that time in history was closer to meeting the Bible's prophecies regarding the End Times. But nothing happened. ...

I shop for 3/2 house in South Florida (Boca Raton-West Palm Beach). My strategy so far in negotiating purchase price for the houses was to ask 10% less than list price, slightly less than the price you would get if you multiply sq.footage by slightly less than average price per sq. foot in the recently sold homes. My realtor tells I should better concentrate of "value" whatever this means. By take in current buyer's market MY strategy is a good one. Should I push my Realtor more to be tougher in negotiations?

Can anyone please advise how should one (donor) revoked a power of attorney?

30 years ago before I went to study overseas, I was told by my sister, a lawyer, to sign a power of attorney, empowering my brother to handle my affairs in my absence. Upon my returned, I have asked for the return of the power of attorney. However, I was informed by her that it has been lost. I now feel insecure because I wasn't given a copy of the power of attorney and I do not remember clearly what I have signed. If I remember correctly, the power of attorney was phrased like a durable power of attorney.

I wish to revoked that power of attorney. Can anyone please advise how should I do it.

Last night at about 10pm, my husband and I noticed that our cat was having trouble breathing. I called my veterinarian on the emergency line that he provides, the vet told me to bring my cat in this morning to see what was going on. My husband and I convinced ourselves that it was just an infection of sorts that could be treated. The vet tested my cat for feline leukemia and it came back positive. I had the choice of taking him back here and letting him suffer, or putting him down. I had to put him down, I can't be selfish and let him suffer so I didn't have to deal with the loss.. its been about an hour and I can't stop crying.... one of my friends told me it was just a cat... I feel so stupid for crying but I just can't stop.... am I just over reacting?

Just wanted to send a great big Canadian hug and kiss Thank You for coming to the aid of our peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan. I just read your government is sending more troops to help keep the Taliban terrorists from regaining any more ground or power. If more NATO countries would grow some balls and step up to seriously fight these terrorists than maybe we could bring peace to the Afghan people. On behalf of our troops and their families back home I say thanks again.
My question is how do you feel about the lack of support from the other NATO countries in Afghanistan? and how do you think we could encourage them to help?
