It's not the topic, so much as how you deal with it.
Reading good poetry can really put you in the right frame of mind, so go to your library and get some books. If you like love poems, read Robert Creeley. For animals, Kate Barnes is the best. And I have a friend named Rob Farnsworth who has written some great books of poetry.
You will notice that modern poets almost never use rhyme in their poems. Rhyme is tired unless you're a rapper.

It really all depends on the reader to make them 'interesting.' since interesting is a relative term, it will be difficult to appeal to all readers. Some may think writing about love would be interesting and amazing while others may think it to be overdone. In my opinion I think love poems are nice. I would write about nature, or a lost loved one, or emotions. Emotions are hard to capture, but if you do so correctly it is nice. You could also do some creative humerous poems about everyday things like taking a shower, though that is generally difficult to do. My best advice is to just write on a variety of subjects so that way everybody wins when they read your writings.

imagine of music lyrics because they're oftentimes considered as poetry. Poems do no longer ought to rhyme, for instance they're oftentimes seen like E.E. Cummings. start up with googling poem type style. %. some kinds and do some in a formulamatic way. matters? someone doing someone incorrect is continuously sturdy (liars, cheaters, moochers, abusers, or in basic terms customary jerks). Killing time? How about your dependable doggie?

Animals make wonderful topics. They have their own worlds that if we can tap into them just a little make wonderful subjects. The best poems however, come from the heart and soul, spur of the moment. The idea shouldn't be planted in your mind but come from the mind to be "planted" on the paper. Best of luck to you. I admire anyone with the creative talent to write poetry.

Keep it to things you can relate to on a personal level. That's when poetry has the most meaning, is when the reader can tell this has meaning to the author. The most important thing to do in any writing though is to just write! It's like any skill, the more you do it, the easier it gets.
