Think of it this way: We are always in the present. We remember the past and dream about the future, but we are never there. You cannot go into the past. If you could, it would become the present once again. The same applies to the future. When we reach it, it becomes the present.

The Past never was, the present always is and the future never will be.
Valid Statement.
Reason: We are always in the PRESENT. We live, we exist in the present. The whole statement is about the present.
The Past - Never Was - True, because when the past was - it was the Present not the past ... so, it never was !!!
The present ALWAYS IS - True, because we are always in the moment, the present - we cannot be in the past or in the future!
The Future never will be - True, because when we are in the present how could we be in the future too ...? The present moment has to move to become the future and when it does it becomes the present and is no longer the Future, and so you see the Future - never will be :-)
************************************************
Now that I've proven the Validity, do I have to take it at face value and believe it?
Every statement has two sides. Many answers have been given on one side - here's what I believe this statement is all about:
Live life in the present. If you wanna live life in the present - dont brood over the past and dont fantasize about the future. There is nothing one can do about the past (understand that once it becomes 'past' it never was) and your present determines your future (understand that in the present the future never will be so live this moment like it is the last).
I liked this question. I wanted to think out of the box - And well, this was one question which made me do just that. Thank you :-)

Hi,
It’s all about the concept of time.
Time is the path on which we walk. A timeline that never ends and it never began. It is always there and we keep moving forwards towards what we call the future. The present is our current state. As you read this you’re in the present but soon you will be in the future.
The future does exist on that timeline in that it is in the present and it will be in the past in the next few hours!
As I finished the above sentence I was further into the future than I was when I started it!
Time is the path on which we walk. But then again, it is all what we 'perceive' to be past, present and future. In real, could the past be the present and the future be the present and we’re in the same place. So future and past is essentially the same so the present always is!
How valid is the statement?. It depends on the perspective from which you look at it!

Saying the past never was would be invalid. The future will be whether we are a part of it or not, so that part of the statement would be invalid as well. The present is just a realization of a flash in time, so i would say it always is as long as something can understand the concept of past, future, and of course present. In a way, past, present, and future always are in some respect.

This is either Metaphysical or Philosophical.
However, the logic is flawed.
Being aware in the present is all that matters.
One can be a victim of the past, confused and desperate in the present, or deluded by a prominent focus on the future.

Not really.
If the past never happened where did you come from to ask this question.
The present I'll leave because its a good argument.
The future,,, If you didn't believe in a future this question would never be asked, or answered.
While I may be answering this question in my present, it was asked and posted by you in my past, You asked it in your present n hopes that some one would post an answer in your future, I answered this question in your future in hopes that I may collect 10 points in both of our futures
Mua--hahahahahahahahahahah,,cough cough

For an animal with limited brain power, it would be true. They would not remember their past, and not realize there would be a future. The only reason there is a past and a future is because man as a whole has the intellect to realize there was a yesterday, so therefore there must be a tomorrow.

It makes sense to me. Except you should learn from the past so you don't make the same mistakes in the future. Time is hard to believe though

That depends on what you're considering by that question. If you are applying it to the realm of time than it most certainly is not valid. If however, you are referring to God than it is valid because He is spirit and is not governed by the constraints of time-omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient.
