Just wanted to send a great big Canadian hug and kiss Thank You for coming to the aid of our peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan. I just read your government is sending more troops to help keep the Taliban terrorists from regaining any more ground or power. If more NATO countries would grow some balls and step up to seriously fight these terrorists than maybe we could bring peace to the Afghan people. On behalf of our troops and their families back home I say thanks again.
My question is how do you feel about the lack of support from the other NATO countries in Afghanistan? and how do you think we could encourage them to help?

Personally I see Afghanistan as one of the successes on the war on terrorism, though it is rarely reported that way.

We are dealing with problems that are large and will take many years to deal with. The troops in Afghanistan are working to help the local people, not doing their fighting for them.

Women's rights, warlord power and the opium (among many other problems) are still present, but it is the first step.

Short of nuking muslim countries out of existence, our only option is to work and engage with these countries. Treat their local customs and religion with respect. Help them work towards a better future.
