I recently had a small dish of olives I was snacking on. I turned my head for one minute and looked again to find my kitty lapping up the salty olive water and nibbling a pimento! Are olives and/or the juice harmful to cats? Should I just indulge her and let her lap up tiny bit of the salty water?

If so, how did you get through it? And if you are the man, when/how did you "come out" of it??

I was waiting in a cell at the court after I had already seen the judge and he had refused to release me on personal recognizance. My bail was set at $500. Later a security guard walks around and goes cell by cell asking people for a name and number so he could make the call for bail for you. I was never taken out f the cell so I could talk on the phone. He was the one who made the call supposedly. I think the person being held should be allowed to talk on the phone instead of some guard because what if he never made the call and pretended he did? My friend said she never received such call and as a result no one knew I was there until I was sent to the jail and was able to call from there. If they would have let me make the call or at least dialed the number in front of me and then put the phone to my ear I could have posted bail right there at the court. Was it unconstitutional or a civil rights violation? I think it was and I am going to sue.

Heyy Everyone!
first I would like to thanks you in advanced!!

Anyways, down to the question
I need a good book to read. My class is doing this thing where you get to pick your book to read, and do some activities with it. The book is supposably enjoyable. The book can't be inappropriate. I am in 6th grade, but I read at about a 9th or 10th grade level. A lot of time adult. But, the book has to be appropriate (no swearing, or bad romance!!) I love fantasy. Here are some books I loved....

Eragon
Eldest
The Bartenous Triology
Redwall Series
Uglies Triology
A great and Terrible Beauty
Inkheart
Inkspell

Remeber I want to impress my teacher!
Thanks a ton!!

If we can't have "close encounters" with out fellow earth creatures, some quite intelligent, how will we ever relate to space aliens when and if we meet them? Everybody knows about successful attempts to teach sign language to our primate cousins, and unsuccessful attempts to communicate with dolphins. But what about large-brained cephalopods' intricate communications with one another through changing, glowing colors? We know that these creatures are smart and curious, and their DNA corresponds remarkably with ours. I think communicating with them would probably be easier than communicating with space aliens which, if they exist, evolved or were created entirely separately and have different DNA or analogous "life chemicals" than ours. It could prove useful to be able to communicate with our fellow earth creatures, and possibly a first step toward extraterrestial communication.
