Just found this...So catholic priests follow bishops (may be pope) not the bible? Should they say that priests must have curly long hair, then?

Q:Can Roman Catholic priest have long hair?

A: I do not believe there is any Church Law about hair length.

But all priests have made vows of obedience and must follow any of their bishop's rules.

Bible: 1 Corinthians 11:14,15 Does not nature itself teach YOU that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him; 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her?

It seems like society tells us that to be single means you are failing in some way. ie: singles are portrayed as workaholics, abusers, social outcasts or misfits, unhappy, etc... In other words, they must have a problem, that is why they are single. Is being single really a sign of dysfunction in some way? If not, then why is being coupled so important in our culture?

I'm interested in getting involved in 18th century historical reenacting, and I was wondering if there were gypsies (or a similar kind of people) in America (preferably the Northeast) from 1750 to 1800. I'm interested in portraying a gypsy, or someone of a similar countenance/lifestyle/dress.

I just saw this as an answer to a valid question, in which the responder also told the asker to do her homework.. how about this passage of scripture then?

Deuteronomy 21:18-21: If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey (SHD 8085) his father or his mother and when they chastise him he will not even listen to them then his father and mother shall seize him and bring him out to the elders of his city a the gateway of his hometown. And they shall say to the elders of his city: This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious he will obey us he is a glutton and a drunkard and all the men of his city shall stone him to death so you shall remove the evil from your midst and all Israel shall hear of it and fear.

Perhaps others need to do their homework as well.

My doctor just told me that i have heterochromia(having a different eye color in each eye) my rigth eye is blue, and my left eye is green. I never noticed, i dont know why; but lately my friends noticed that my eyes are different. So i went to see doctor, and he told me; I never noticed because its not that rare as other cases in which people have one blue eye and the other one is brown. I just wanted to know if its bad to have heterochromia? or if it will damage me in some kind of way in the future?

I'm still trying to figure out if I'm bi or lesbian. I know I'm not straight, and I know I'm extremely attracted to girls, but I'm still unsure about how I exactly feel about guys. I have no desire to have heterosexual sex, I am not turned on by a male body, and I actually find male bodies/"parts" a turn off. I am completely attracted to every bit of the female body, and the idea of being in a relationship with a female (romantic/sexual) is so much more appealing to me than being with a male. The only thing that confuses me is the fact that when I was younger I thought I had crushes on males, but maybe it was just that my perception was blurred and I just wanted attention, from anyone really. I like to be desired by males, but I want nothing to do with them when they approach me for a relationship or intimate encounter. I don't want to kiss them, touch them, be touched by them, and I DEFINITELY don't want to have sex with them, but why do I like for them to think I'm attractive?

In Arkansas, there are three people sitting on death row today because they were hired by the boyfriend, who didn't want to pay child support, to kidnap his girlfriend, who wanted to have the child, took her off to a remote area and beat her within an inch of her life with the express purpose of killing the child. And when she was on the floor, she begged for two things: Her own life and her baby's life. These men were charged with two crimes, the murder of the girl, and the murder of the unborn baby. Explain to me why it's murder in this instance, but not if the girl wanted to end the pregnancy? How can the unborn child be a living entity in one scenero, but not the other? Side note...I am in no way condoning what the boyfriend did.

And besides, when you get married, you commit to the soul and personality of your spouse not the body or looks, maybe to some extent, no matter what culture you represent. And why not try to seduce a mature adult woman? Maybe because he is a perv, who loves kids? And when a teen is in a relationship with a 32 yo, she would never confess to her parents about it.

and if Christ paid the punishment for our sins, why should we bother trying to be sinless? Do you have to confess every little sin to be forgiven, or is it auotomatically taken care of when you have faith that Christ died and rose from the dead?
