God has the power to eternally torture you, but Satan just plain scares me! I'd like your opinions.

When you are a christian you have the power to fear no man, demon, or the Devil. Once you are a christian the devil/Satan has no power over you. He can do nothing but tempt you, and God has complete control over Satan. So i dont fear (def - scared, frightened) of either. I have the fear of the Lord....(fear meaning respect and humbleness)

Well, "fear of God" doesn't necessarily mean we are "afraid" of God. It's more along the lines that we are humble and tremble at His greatness. We fear eternal seperation from God, which is hell.

Actually, I do not fear Satan. If you really trust in God, there is no reason to fear Satan. That doesn't mean you aren't going to be tempted by Satan, but if you rely soley on God, He will give you the Grace to conquer temptation.

GOOD question...
I know in my head that God is much, much more deserving of fear and awe than Satan, but you are right - Satan is terrifying on a whole different level.
I think what I;m most scared of is going to hell, so that would probably be both God -and- Satan - fear of God sending me to hell, and fear of Satan IN hell...It brings up an interesting question...

God. The worst Satan can do is kill you. It's God that judges you with eternal damnation, but it is you who chooses that...so really, the only person you should fear is yourself. I think that in the scriptures, it states to fear God, and that means to have respect for him but to also realize that his power is infinite and do realize that he is in a higher position than you. Satan doesn't really scare me, because unless I allow him into my heart, into my mind, he can't do anything to me that is eternally damaging. Doesn't mean that bad things won't happen, I just know that God is more powerful than Satan by any means.

Ask yourself if you consider yourself a good person. Then ask yourself if you have ever told a lie, stolen something, wanted something that didn't belong to you, looked at a person with lust, and have you always horored you mother and father?

These are just five of the ten commandments (God's law), and the point is that no one has obeyed God's law, and in fact we all have broken God's law thousands of times. What is God to do then? If He is just, then there must be a punishment for breaking His law. The punishment is that when we die, we will be excluded from the presence of God and be put in hell. However, God does not want us to be condemned by our breaking of His law. That is why He sent Jesus to pay our fine and make us justified in Gods eyes. If you tell God you are sorry for breaking His laws, turn from your law breaking ways, and trust that Jesus has paid the fine for you, you will be forgiven and saved from hell. You will be given grace and allowed into heaven. This does not mean christians never break Gods law, but that they try not to, and are sorry for it when they do.

You should fear and respect God, but Satan has no power over you if you are a christian.

Lets first get our facts steight, that forever hell thing is A Lie of satan lets examin what The bible "really" says shall we, in Rev.20:6 we are told those who are Destroyed in Hell experence the second DEATH, the forever part is the EFFECT of Hell not the burning itself, its eternal punishment the word punishing is not ever used in all the bible. in Jude 7 Sodom was destroyed with eternal fire the fire is not still going but the effects are. and in the next chapter or Rev. God creates a new earth and new heaven [the place where birds fly is also called heavens as well as the place where the stars are] satan plans to die but to try to get you do die with him so He does not have to die alone, Jesus [the second member of The Godhead] is trying to get you to accept the conditions upon which eternal life is offered, He paid for it for you, why not investagate to see what those conditons are, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com OR www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Satan rules people by fear. The trick is to Submit to God, Look up, pay attention to God, Ask God in prayer why the devils scaring you. Did you do something that opened the door to it?

This is what I do. Then the Lord answers my question. I rebuke the devil in the Name of my Lord (who I am attentive to). I ask God if I need to pray for someone or repent of something. I bind the devil in weights & cast it to the bottom of the sea to wait until judgment day. Then it is gone.

The trick is to submit to Gods Word, Gods promises. Pray those. Resist satan & satan flees. The devil gets really scared when a child of God prays to/ submits to God.

I don't fear either. I stand in awe of the wonderous greatness of God. I stand in battle against Satan.

Neither, I don't have to fear satan because Jesus is my Savior and He takes care and watches over and protects me. God I do no fear as someone who will hurt me but, I do fear Him as in Reverence, that is Love.
