Yuck. Be better.

First, learn to sing the songs that make YOU happy. Get them on tape and start peddling those demos to record companies.

I recommend going to karaoke first to sing in front of an audience. The experience can change your life like it did mine.

Jesus, honey, let me save you some time. It is so so difficult. Not trying to discourage you, just been there and aaaall through it. I've recorded in countless studios in a few different states, with a few famous people even, a Jackson brother was once my manager, grew up singing, have a very accomplished singing ability, 3 octive range, and etc.
Getting a demo done is hard enough. It takes a TEAM of people to get YOU to be a singer, let alone a successfuly one that will rise above the 150,000 other kids trying to do what you do.
Engineer, producer, manager, and so on. Even after I had a great team together, my producer ripped off my material that I written with him and worked long nights in the studio to record. Another guy involved ripped me off $1500 that I paid him to give me tracks (the music that the lyrics are then written to. Good tracks are HARD to come by, that's why good procuders are paid so much - Rodney jerkins, Glenn Ballard, Scott Storch, Pharell).
And it cost money toget a demo done. And then itslike... well, who do I take it to? Where do I go? How will I represent myself? And because you're so young, you will need a parent or gaurdian to be involved and doing everything for you.
Its tough, dude. Good luck. Dont trust anyone and dont PAY anyone ANYTHING unless you have their services and a contract in writing

well, you should probably know someone who can get you a preview CD or something, and get microphones and the whole shebang and go to a coffeehouse place and sing there. then see if anyone likes it, idk something like that. if you dont know people, then you can bet it will be hard. Rihanna had "connections" sort of. good luck.
