I've always said "curse".. where did cuss come from? I didn't hear that till I moved to Houston from New Orleans. Who says cuss and who says curse?

Is it a thing that varies from city to city?

Use and misuse selection locally. A curse is a particular sick-choose. some are oftentimes nicely-known, because of the fact the theater custom of "wreck a leg". Forbidden words concerning is defecation, sexual congress, etc. are not cursing. they are profanity. Forbidden words concerning to saints and/or gods are blasphemy. i.e. Balderdash is a pagan curse. by potential of Jove! prefaces a pagan oath. people who could no longer spell defecation or blasphemy on a huge gamble will lump all 3 (curses, profanity & blasephemy) at the same time as cussing.

It came from the British along time ago. They said "Curse" but because of their accents it sounded like "Cuss". Just like the real word for "@ss" is "@rse". We just heard it differently and said it the way we heard it. Wow, they censor the word "@rse"!

Oh, and I say cuss.
