Today I was driving and a memory just popped in my out of nowhere- sitting on the porch eating a bag of ruffles cheddar and sour cream potato chips with my aunt when I was about 6 yrs old. Nothing substantial happened that day so why do I remember that particular day? I know that we cannot remember everything that we have experienced in our lives but why do we remember some things and not others?? Some things that I remember are just trivial, day to day things and some things I can't remember, like going tothe state fair as a child (I know I went because we have pictures but I can't remember it).

First I want to apologize to any atheists (and any one, for this matter) that may have been offended by the recent line of questioning I've been making lately. I am not hear to offend, but to understand.

This question is a simple and short one...

Because I have come to see that atheists want nothing more than some evidence/proof of any God(s) existence... What would be proof enough for you?

I was reading the biography of Alpha Blondie, who now some people are calling "The New Bob Marley" and it says he sings in English, French, Mandinque Dioula & Patois
Can someone tell me where I can get information about these 3 languages and if you can call them that or dialects?
I know He's from The Ivory Coast but my friends said He sang in Hebrew.
The Hebrew part sounds right since his records names such as "Shalom, Rabin, and masada"
I love his music and would like to know more about it.

I'm intersted in starting the South Beach Diet. I've had success with Weight Watchers, but I'm bored with it so I want to try something new to stir things up. I lost about 20 lbs on Weight Watchers about a year ago but gained it all back because of the medication I was taking. I'm really short so it takes me a long time and commitment to lose weight. I'm 5 feet even and I weigh 144lbs. I want to get to 115lbs. What would be a good time frame for this and what are your thoughts on the South Beach Diet? TIA

I can't deal with this. My dad just died, him and my mum got into a car accident, and my dad died. I'm depressed, i just feel like killing myself. My mum is in the hospital because of the accident. and if she dies, then i will end up killing myself. I just don't know how to deal with this. I never thought that i would ever lose any of my parents. I didn't even know that this could happen to a kid like me. I'm so depressed. i'm crying, i don't know what to do. My husband invited some people over for dinner and then his parents called to say that they'd like to come to town to visit. I realize there is some inconsiderate behavior of those involved, but it's not time to gripe!

Besides getting my house clean, getting the spare bedroom made up, and planning and preparing for Easter, I now need to make dinner for a group of 10 (8 adults, 2 children). Any ideas?

I have taken various psych drugs in the past but never stayed on them. Because I am very bothered about the idea of them being perscribed without any real tests being preformed. I think it is wrong for someone be giving me these drugs after only having spoken to me. And every doctor I see comes up with a new diagnosis, new list of drugs and says they other doctor was all wrong. It makes it hard to trust their jugement. And it's not like I'm getting lousy doctors. They're all very qualified from good schools etc. It's just that no one really seems to know what's wrong with me.

I keep reading things online about people having taken psych drugs for years only to discover later that it was not from a "chemical imbalance" at all it was something else like a tumor etc.
So I feel like this time I should rule out other things before trying a new drug


Has anyone made this sort of request?
What was your doctor's reaction?
What sort of tests would the be likly to preform?

I think it is wonderful to stay home with the kids. I'm doing it for a time as I have an infant and I could see that it would greatly benefit a child to have one parent at home, however, since I have been home I also realize that it may be irresponsible to stay home too long. If job skills become obsolete and bread winner dies then your child might suffer and you would wish you had put the child in day care??? It is very confusing to do the right thing, do you think there is a way to raise your own kids and not take this huge risk?

I am currently pursuing an associate degree in Hospital Pharmacy Technology. I am going to take my PTCB testing this summer. I have worked for Walgreens over seven months. I was supposed to get a Pharmacy Technician position that was going to open up when I first started, that never materialized. I am in the pharmacy one day a week if I ask enough. Their training is very minimal to say the least. I want to work somewhere that will train me to become intuitive with the pharmacy. So if anyone knows or is working somewhere that would be a good place to start a career. By the way I am in the metro Detroit area of Michigan, Thanks.

Ok here is the story, my car has had the change oil light on for probably 2 weeks, it didnt say low oil, just change oil, also the temp was regular and I had just put gas in it, I was at a stoplight and all of a sudden it just starts chugging along, for probably about 5 seconds and then it just dies on me, then I start it again and it goes for another 5 seconds or so, then I try to start it again and it just turns over, doesnt start though, I had it towed to my house and now I need to either figure out whats wrong with it myself or pay a crapload to get it towed once again and fixed at an auto servicing place. Any idea what could be wrong with it? Would not changing the oil for 2 weeks after it told me be the case? If I changed my oil myself do you think it would start? I am not that great with cars but I really need some help here. Thanks.
