They probably have 1000 of them pointed at the Middle East. The Camel jockies know better but then again, most of them say they live to die. Whereas us westerners live to live.

they are diluted into believing they could win against us in an all out war, which makes them for a very dangerous enemy.

perhaps we should demonstrate to them what one of these beasts can do so they would "cry uncle" finally and stop been stupid:

First of all - the US does not have '8,000' ICBMs. The US has 500 ICBMs. Second - by treaty all of our ICBMs are targeted at empty patches of ocean. (To remove the possibility of an accidental nuclear war.)

Now you have to consider Iran. There is a power struggle going in that country between the religious hard-liners, the clergy and the reformists. The hard liners are trying to stir up a minor and easily confined 'crises' with an external power in order to get the Iranian people to 'rally around the flag.' Their seizure of the British hostages is an example of this.

And the fact of the matter is that President Bush has been quietly following a consistent policy of Diplomatic isolation and economic sanctions against Iran. The idea is to get Iran to the point where they cannot afford to pay for a nuclear weapons program (the fact that the Russians walked out in a payment dispute indicates that this may be working).

The difference with this war is that the states aren’t fighting a country. They arren't at war with any country. They are fighting with extremists. It doesn't matter how many missiles they have, they can't bomb the whole country. There are millions of civilians who have nothing to do with any terrorist activities.

They are fighting an enemy that cannot easily be found. These terrorists attack during the day and go home to their families at night. How can you determine who is guilty and who is innocent? These aren’t "terrorist-seeking missiles".

how long do you think it would take for retaliation in 1990 there was over 280.000 Iranian's on the US census. what if everyone decided to drive a large truck full of explosives into a large populated area. marshal law, curfews, trigger happy people roaming the streets how safe would you be.

The US isn't good at urban combat look at Iraq, i think they were drawn into a street fight.

I think there are a few people in the Iranian government for whom the possibility of their total annihilation does not act as a deterrent at all. It is hard for many of us in the west to grasp, but there are people in the world with deep religious convictions for whom martyrdom is a completely acceptable option.

Most Iran citizens hate American government and their policies. Iran has nuclear weapons and we have proof of their tests of these weapons. iran is 3xs bigger than Iraq and more powerful. I don't know when or where but Iran and N. Korea are dangerous countries, i won't take them lightly.

i hope to dear god that we dont fight another war. Im sick of war and sick of the traitors bush and cheney. theyll be out soon, america will reinstitute diplomatic ties with both iran and syria. The arab summit just proposed a peace plan to israel, hopefully the will accept. And when bush is gone, america will withdraw from iraq, it looks to me like there may be light at the end of a very dark tunnel...
