Hold it.
Daniel 7:10 is NOT referring to the judgement of mankind. Daniel 7:10 states:
"A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened."
The "thousands upon thousands" and "ten thousand times ten thousand" that this passage is speaking about are God's angels. It is not referring to people awaiting judgement. Notice that it says that they are "atttending" to God, that is, ministering to Him and that they are standing before him, awaiting any orders. Likewise, Hebrews 1:7 states:
"And of the angels he says, Who makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire."
This scripture could not be referring to mankind, because not all mankind is 'attending' to God. In fact, most are not attending to God. So we should not assume that those in Daniel 7:10 are those of mankind awaiting judgement from God. Rather, they are God's angels, who constantly offfer praise and sacred service to God in heaven.
Although Daniel 7:10 makes mention of a Court and books being opened, it is not to judge those who are in that verse ministering to God. Rather, as the context shows, the judgement is on the futility of man's governments so that Christ will gain ownership of the kingdom of mankind(see Daniel 7:13, 14 and Psalm 2:1-9). Remember, that God would give ownership of the Kingdom to 'he who has the legal right', which of course is Jesus Christ, the King (Ezekiel 21:27; Luke 1:32, 33). Since this is a "legal" right, it would be proper for this setting to be in a Court of law in heaven and that books should be opened and that the family of angels should be there. The Bible speaks of another instance where the family of angels were gathered together such as this (Job 2:1). Of course, the Christ wins the "court" case against human governments, because verses 13 and 14 of that same chapter read:
“I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin."
You can compare the final outcome of this trial at the following scriptures as well:
Psalm 2:8, 9
Revelation 19:17, 18
Daniel 2:44
I hope this clears things up for you because it's important that you do not twist the meaning of the Scriptures. -2 Peter 3:16

Did you continue reading Dan 7:14 "then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed..." Answers it pretty well, doesn't it? It is a vision to show that, while they are the same in mind, that the Father and Son ARE separate. That Jesus is the ONE and ONLY Son of God. The Holy Spirit is present- the Spirit is the one giving Daniel his dream. That is what God wanted- Daniel to see and record the vision, so He sent the Spirit to Daniel in a dream. Continue reading Dan 7:15-28, this is the interpretation that the Spirit gives to Daniel so that all of Israel and we christians may read and believe in God.

I try to be ready for the rapture by having the oil full in my lamp & following after the Spirit throughout the day. I don't know how I do with the talents God gave me, except I do my best that I think to do with my God given responsiblities. But, I'm not sure how much reward I will get. Since I am born of God, I know that I already have my ticket for heaven. I know I have some rewards coming.
This reads like it is the Judgment Seat of Christ, because those judged willl receive of the Most High to take the Kingdom & possess the Kingdom for ever lasting. This is possible the 1st resurection, because they witness the beast being thrown into the lake of fire.
Verse 22 Until the Ancient of day came, and judgment was given to the Saints of the Most High: and the time came that the Saints possessed the Kingdom.
I believe the Ancient of days is the Word of God and the Son of man is Jesus in resurrected humanity. Because Jesus is the Son of God & the Son of Mankind. I think this judgment is based on how one used the talents the Lord gave.
Jesus Christ is the King of kings & Lord of lords of this everlasting Kingdom.
The last resurrection of everyone else is The Great White Throne Judgment. (Revelation)

I think the vision of those standing before him is not necessarily humans but may be those at the ready to implement the decision(s) of this court.
EDITED: In context Gods will is specified where it reads "...the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him..." Daniel 7:14
EDITED: Verse 12 instructs a specific out come.
Edited: The short conclusion may be that the purpose of the court is to give instructions, only. The decision(s) have already been made.

We all have to render an account to God (Romans 14:12), so its a question we all must ask ourselves.
The only way we can hope to be judged by God as acceptable is to ensure that we are doing his will - we could claim to be Christian, but because we fail to do his will, we could be judged unworthy (Matthew 7:21-23; Revelation 3:3).
So, we need to work out God's will and do it. I try to do it, but every day I make mistakes, and each day I pray for forgiveness. I'm doing my best and I know that Jehovah knows that too - He knows I am dust.

Daniel 7:10 talking about the great white throne judgement in Rev 20:12.
Love to face Him, know i don't have any sins not repented for. So the Works in the book are all rewards.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
dead, those who didn't overcome satans tributlation, didn't make the 1st resurrection. So they have mortal souls.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
The sea(Rev 17:15) of people gave up the spiritually dead.
Works, its in the book of life.

Hello, Marie:
You are correct in saying we will be judged, but I can not make that decision--heavenly intelligences will judge us to see if we can dwell with them.
If I said yes! I might be like Peter and the other 11--they said they would die before denying their savior. We will know for certain the judgment was in our favor when we hear the words: "Well done, you faithful servant. Enter into the glories prepared for you.'

No, I know that there is a plan in place for my life that I am only beginning to trust in, and in my doubt and fear, have attempted to take back my will and turned away from God.
God knows that we are not perfect and I would like to think that He looks at our intention - are we trying to fill those around us with love, peace, and hope by opening ourselves as a channel of His love, peace and hope - when seeing the messes we have made.
We can only use the past to learn from our mistakes and understand how to ask for strength when we start to misstep. We have done nothing to warrant God's love and it is by His grace that we can attain heaven ... I just hope He has a good sense of humor!

I really hope I would be ready, but how is anyone to know this but the judge himself? I have morally improved the quality of my life for a few years now, but enough? I hope so.

it is more comforting to know Jesus was judged for my sin and the wrath of God was satisfied through His work on the cross
only good intentions of God remain so that all things work together for the good of those who love God
