what it is .........i bought a comp with a modem thats not compatable (as far as my research goes) with windows that im running now...........it says its compatable with windows 98 though the modem is a netodragon mdv92xp modem.....which i tried to update driver but device manager cant find one soooooooo i thought if its compatable with windows 98se i would just uninstall my current version of windows with 98se .The modem is for dial up for my kids..Will that solution work? I dont want to buy a new one if i dont have to.

I just bought windows vista and I just realised that there's alot of compatability issues related to softwares. So will microsoft launch some kind of update? so soon vista will be able to load older software for use, e/g flash mx or iclone studio? I believe that all Americans harbor a debt for the freedoms we enjoy in this country. Freedom was paid for in the blood of the patriots that won our freedom, the blood of those who fought on foreign soil to prevent the spread of tyranny in its many forms. Our freedoms where gained through bravery and protected by those who have a sense of duty. Many belive that this country, this government owes them something - they are wrong. Those who feel that the government owes them something take all we have for granted.

What have you done to repay this debt? Do you sit back and recieve the freedom welfare check?

...and all our hopes lie in an insane species? That does not sound like something worth celibrating.

Some people are ok with the possibility and say: "So what, just live your life and enjoy it!"

This is perhaps the most disgusting sentence I have ever heard in my life. When I hear this sentence I immediately envision a bunch of rich wigs eating grapes and laughing in that snortly arrogant laugh while the fragile, poor souls of the world are hidden a thousand feet underground where noone can see them and they are slowly crushed by a giant wheel.

I find that kind of banal happiness physically revulsive and cannot understand how this can be the center of peoples' lives.

No number of mortal geniuses can bring justice to the world, it's clearly going to take some kind of Messiah. If there is none, how am I supposed to celibrate the death of all hope? The death of our children? The death of the future world? Why should I want to?

I just want them to be interesting. Length really isnt the issue. I have read Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie and sir A.C.Doyle, Dan Brown, L.M. Alcott, Hashek, Orhan Pamouk, Elizabeth Kostova, Philip Roth... so please dont mention any of those. Some Russian classics-again:intersting!- to start with would be great, so that I dont end up hating everything that has anything to do with Russia altogether!
