Licensing in Kansas is through the State Board of Cosmetolgy and it is really hard to get in there. You have to train with someone already licensed so even a tattoo artist with years of experience would pretty much start at ground zero there. Testing, inspections, etc.....

Anytime cosmo is involved in tattooing it is a mess.

some colleges do courses for tattooing, but if you go and ask somebody who's qualified to do it at a shop or something, they might let you do it with them. If they say they can't train you ask them how you can train and become qualified.

Get a real job and give the kids a break with tattoos. You are contributing to the downfall of a generation. Tattoos are trashy.
