I have studied Astronomy since I was 10 and know for fact the Sun output is variable over time and at present is putting out more energy so therefore the planet is getting warmer. Fact; CO2 is pored out in huge amounts by volcanoes and vents under the oceans. Fact; there is scientific proof that in the past 100 million years that CO2 levels have been 5 to 10 times more than to-day, so why all the doomsday bamboozle? Just 30 years ago the same scientists told us around we where heading into a new ice age due to the Suns lower output! Now we are asked to believe by the same scientists that we are how heating up and its mostly our fault as we produce too much CO2, is this the whole truth? I think they, the scientists must conclude for the sake of more grants coming their way and as their employer, the government is paying them to tell us that our CO2 emissions are largely to blame for GW. Is this a brilliant and clever plan for more taxes or are we really creating our own doomsday?

Church report---Use of masculine imagery validates 'violent patterns of behavior'
Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams is backing a Church of England report that claims viewing God in masculine terms can validate "overbearing and ultimately violent patterns of behavior" in intimate relationships and "contributes to domestic abuse," the London Daily Mail reports.

Did any churches/ministers observe it during services?

Did any of you Christians decide to observe it in church? :-)

I know there are some funny Christians out there (Chris Sligh from American Idol!). This comic strip, yesterday's "Frazz", made me think of it.

The enemy within not to mention in the society. Its embedded in the grain of the religion. Have you noticed how super religious people become so high on life and act inadvertently gay? they become so soft spoken and humble that it literally turns them into a homo.

I am 22 years old and in good health. Ever since I was about 12 I sometimes get severe pain in my back.

Sometimes I will simply bend over and my lower back will sudddenly be strained. Other times I have major muscles spasms in my back and all of the muscles in my upper back, shoulders and neck area will be so tight that I cant even turn my head or lift my arm for over a week!

I have been to doctors and even the hospital about this problem in the past and the only thing they ever do is give my pain killers and muscle relaxers which just mask the pain and make me drowsy.

Are there any alternate treatments? Accupuncture? Specific Massage? Anything that might help me!

An aside:

When I think of Chief Prophet it kind of reminds me of Grand Wizard.

But that's beside the point. Please excuse me and answer my question if you don't mind.

Thank you.

Is it time to hand the Falkland Islands to Argentina?
I heard that it costs the British taxpayers an estimated £1 million PER DAY for it's upkeep through having a military presence.
For a small population it seems a disproportionate amount of money, and it's been going on for the last 25 years!
What's your views??

Many of us who are not in touch with everyday Muslims are told how Islam is a "religion of peace." Since the same media brings us images and rhetoric of radical Muslims advocating terrorism and participating in horrific violence, many are given pause by the conlficting messages.

Certainly a religion of peace does not advocate violence. The is true about Christianity, right? Jesus was martyred rather
than using force or violence. He is hailed by his followers as
the "Prince of Peace." So, is Christianity a religion of peace?

If so, should we be given pause by Christians who endorse or engage in acts of violence?
