Actually that's a good point. Some of their economic policies are quite progressive and almost left-wing socialist. At the same time they are a strongly nationalist party. Perhaps they could adopt a name which reflected that.

National Socialists? Nazis!

Because that's what they are - a bunch of nasty racist opportunists feeding off people's fears and fooling the stupid into following them.

Only vote BNP if you are a racist or are too stupid to see what you are voting for.

i don't know if many people have bothered to look at the National Front or the BNP's websites but they have some interesting policies, some of which believe it or not do not involve immigration.

Nick Griffin is the only politician who utilises his right to freedom of speech effectively. Tony Blair and David Cameron simply don't have the backbone to confront the issues that matter to all of us most.

There is no reason why we have to feel ashamed of our heritage and our history, i dont know about you guys but all i can feel when i want to be patriotic is a sense that i am somehow being "extreme". Other countries are proud of who and what they are, are we so terrified of offending each other that we can't do the same?

"The first half of the 20th century saw the rise of revolutionary right-wing populist and nationalist currents, notably fascism, that were distinct from the older right-wing political currents that continued to exist alongside them. Right is still used to refer to radical nationalist or racist politics." (from wikipedia)

The National Front are undoubtedly a racist, White supremacist organisation with strong links to other fascist and Nazi groups in Europe, so are very obviously extreme right-wing. As such they have largely been discredited as a democratic political party.

The BNP, although a little more moderate, certainly have the kind of radical nationalist policies referred to as extreme right wing - e.g:-
Repatriation of immigrants and asylum seekers, compulsory National Service (plus an army assault rifle in every home for those who complete it), limiting women's right to work (woman's place is in the home), limiting the right to vote (i.e disenfranchising certain ethnic groups, homosexuals, disabled), re-criminalisation of homosexuality, "rehabilitation" and "re-education" of the disabled and homosexuals, e.t.c.

In addition, individuals who are members of, or support the BNP have been variously accused of being racist, anti-Semitic and anti-islamist, and some have even been convicted of criminal activity.

Oddly, however, the BNP are more in tune with the extreme left in their economic agenda. They take an anti-global capitalism stance, and advocate redistribution of wealth through workers cooperatives. Also, they claim to be a tax cutting party (paying for tax cuts by ending foreign aid to the third world), but would actually have no option but to impose massive tax increases in order to implement and pay for their other policies.

Another very odd policy of the BNP is the reintegration of the Republic of Ireland with the UK, to form a new state called "The Federation of the British Isles". Not surprisingly the Irish are very much against this, so the only way the policy could be implemented is through war.

So basically the BNP are an odd mix of extreme right social and foreign policy and extreme left economic policy, which rather than preserving the British way of life, would radically and disastrously change it.

Well because they have, dare I say it, facist values. They don't like foreigners, prefer to keep Britain, British, that sort of thing. They are on the right wing, and the extreme right wing. I doubt David Cameron talks like they do in public. Tony Blair and company are always talking about social integration, inclusion. For the people. I hope that's a better anwser.

Because that's a description of their politics - ultra-conservative, ultra-nationalist.

The extreme left and right wings are more controlling and less liberal; the centre of the political scale is for less controlling, more liberal politics.

Vote BNP in the next election and when we win you'll find out!

I'm voting for them simply because I'm sick of the British way of life coming second in our own country!!!!
