No not at all. Many men as their father to be the best man. In fact you should only ask people you admire to be in your wedding party. It is a high honor and should be treated as such. These pictures and memories will be forever so you don't want to pick someone that you have a falling out with and don't talk to ever again. You want to look up to these people as traditionally they are "standing up for you" that you are worthy to be marrying this person (and should the family start a fight and want to ram their swords into your gullet for stealing a bride--these groomsmen should be good fighters who will protect you through the ceremony until you are legally wed)

no not at all, it actually shows them the respect and appreciation you have for them instead.
