1) Have any of you found good soy yogurts? I would like a list of the ones that are good--and not good! i tried o'soy from stonyfields and found it very gross, though i like soy milk. i would like info on this and other possible yogurt substitutes, please.

2) i have found that (i know, it's gross, sorry) being vegan leads to flatulence. do any vegans have tips on avoiding this (such as foods to eat/not eat/etc.)? thanks a lot.

I'm a college student, my major is Biochemistry but I also enjoy Fashion. When I first started college I wanted to major in Fashion Design and Marketing, but instead I chose my other passion: Medicine. Actually, first my major was Computer Science, now I'm working towards a career as a pharmacist (therefore Biochemistry). I really want to be a pharmacist but I also really want to own a clothing store someday where I will sell my own designs along with other clothing lines/brands. I could have double majored but like I said, when I started college my major was Computer Science (for two yrs) then in my third year I decided to change major (Biochemistry). I could do it now but it will take me longer to transfer to a 4 year university. I have already wasted two years in community college (when I was a Computer Science major) and I really want to get out of there and transfer as soon as possible. So, my question is the following...

My mom is making the slideshow for grad night and need some awesome songs for it. She has a lot of oldies, so now we need some newies. We need slow, thought provoking ones and upbeat, happy-making ones! Any suggestions?

Also, the lyrics need to be G-PG rated. (strict principal, ya' know?)

Many Christians here act bewildered as to why many atheists seem bitter. Surely Christians can appreciate that atheists are looked down upon for reasons that we think are totally undeserving. Christians have a history of being persecuted. Granted, atheists in the U.S. have not had any physical violence inflicted on us, and we still have many freedoms. But we have come close to losing some freedoms that we hold very dear, such as the freedom to conduct science without free of political bias, and to ensure that science is taught correctly in public schools. And this doesn't even include the fact that atheists have lowest chance of being elected to public office of any other group of people.

Finally, I encourage Christians to pay more attention to the variety of statements atheists make here. A lot of what we say is not bitter.

I'm planning on going back to school this year but was told by the department of job and family services that I would have to wait and see if they get funding for WIA. I'm freaking out because it's almost April and classes start in September.I want everything to go smoothly this year. If I don't get a grant from WIA, I'm looking at being around $5,000 short for my tuition. I applied for WIA once before and I wasn't qualified because I was already enrolled. Anyways, I'm worried. Does anyone have any idea when WIA would be getitng funds?

I'm 16. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis when I was 14 and now I get regular blood testing every 3 months to tell if my thyroid is working properly/if my meds(synthroid) need to be adjusted. If I go on the pill, will these tests be able to tell? My parents are Catholic and wouldn't exactly be pleased with the news.
ps. I'm not interested in your speeches on abstinence or involving my parents in my personal life.

wrote this last night. my names nicole. its really strange. i cant beleive i wrote it.

Nicole slid into the bathroom getting ready to hop into the shower. she turned on the water, as the water bounced off her cold hands onto the shower floor she glanced at the door. Noticing it was unlocked she quickly locked it so no one would walk in on her. Finnally she made it to the shower. With on push into the shower the water made a feeling as if it were burning her skin. Reaching to adjust the tempature she accidentally pushed the conditioner,Shampoo, soap and finnally the razor off the shower shelf. As the razor sliced her leg as it flew to the floor, Nicole reached for her leg trying to stop the pain. The blood made a path threw the boiling water into the drain. Not only was she inpain from the slice but the water was still sizzling across her slim body. Mixed with the water and blood was now tears. She felt weak. She couldnt even stand on her own two bleeeding feet.

Irrespective of race, shade of skin, religion or ethnic origin, mankind is basically the same.

The Bible indicates we are God-conscious. We see God at work in nature. We sense our smallness and unworthiness. Just as babies need and cry for milk, man cries for God. We were made for Him and need Him.

Newly discovered tribes seek to worship or appease a "supreme being", who the Bible says is God.

Why do so many people in danger pray to God? Who put that desire there? Often those asserting that there is no God blame Him for catastrophies or tragedies. Think of 9/11. Why blame a non-existent God?

Man is aware of God because he was created by God to know and answer to Him.
