Over my last spring break I visited some friends that had recently had a litter of pure bread Alaskan Huskies that they could not care for. Unfortunately i can not keep him. I know that these kinds of dogs love running and they love the outdoors. I know that huskies typically run dog sled races. I know he would make an excellent dog and even an excellent dog sledding dog. This is a lifestyle I know he would prefer. Dog sledding is in his blood, his grandfather ran the Iditarod. He is an extremely smart puppy and he learns very fast. With only being 8 weeks old he already comes to his name, sits and is for the most part potty trained. If you know of anyone looking for an Alaskan husky puppy that could efficiently care for him or maybe would like to train him to become a dog sledding dog please let me know. All I want is a good home for him.

If after everything there is space, and space is something, then what's "nothing", I mean after space isn't there just space? I see "nothing" as more of a figure of speach, that just means the lacking, or apsense of something.

I bought a new Conia M580 dvd player - when I press play, pause or next on the remote control, it changes the channel on my set top box! They must be on the same frequency or something.

Next makes the channel go down 1 (e.g. from 4 to 3) and pause and play bring up the menu (channel 96) which interferes with anything I'm recording.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and if it can be fixed??

Thanks

I saw on a website a suggestion to use old tires as a container for plants. Is this safe if the plants are to be eaten? What are some of the potential risks?

Also, what is a good place to get old tires?

A 4.86 kb ball traveling at 3.15 m/s collides with a 5.09 kg ball moving at 1.22 m/s in the same direction as the first ball. The collision is elastic.

a) Find the final velocity, magnitude + direction of each ball
b) Calculate how much energy was transfered during the collision and identify which ball gained and lost the energy.
c) Calculate the magnitude of the impulse that each ball experiences.

I think I got part a: I put 1.17 and 3.10.
I think part b is -9.57 and 9.62

But part b I didn't know how to do.

Thanks!

Anyone who has seen Elfen Lied must remember Lilium, the haunting gregorian chant like song that serves as both the opening and an important plot device in the form of a music box. I really liked the sound of Lilium on a music box, enough that I'd want one of my own. I was wondering if anyone else would buy one if they were available.

Out of curiosity, I looked into how much it would cost to get a custom song for a music movement. Unfortunately, the low end ones were around $350 at best. By comparison, the mass produced ones of comparable quality were about $20. It'd be a nice keepsake, but that's a little outside my price range.

I am 26 weeks pregnant and had noticed a bump when I've showered about the size of a marble in my vaginal area. I thought perhaps it was normal swelling, until I started to feel it while walking today. I grabbed a flashlight and mirror today and sure enough... there's a round swollen gland-like lump in there. Any one experienced this?

I understand that ethanol has 30% less energy density than gasoline, but I also have other concerns about the amount lost to evaporation. In addition, I wonder what steps can be taken to prevent the fuel from becoming vinegar. While I am optimistic about biofuels, including ethanol and to a greater extent, biodiesel, I do understand the tendency of true believers to understate complications. It doesn't mean that they're not good people. It just means that they're willing to overlook some hiccups in achieving their stated aim. My favorite resource on this topic is http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel.html , but I don't see this question answered there.

I'm interested in getting into Northwestern University to study music.

But... as of right now... my chances of getting in are not great.

I screwed around my fresh. and soph. year and now I'm frantically trying to save my GPA. (It's currently only 3.4.. which is basically a 'C' at my high school.)

Does anyone know specifically what Northwestern requires to gain admission? (Required credits, ACT/SAT scores, etc etc)

Also, I have no idea if it's really true, but our guidance counsellors have been drilling into us that colleges look for students from my high school. Will that have any pull at all?
