It seems to me that no one has any morals anymore. Everywhere I go people are using profanity, having sex outside of marriage, divorcing for the wrong reason (we just grew apart is no excuse to break the vows one makes before God), heavy drinking and drug use, etc. I grew up in the 70's and although things were beginning to change then, people still believed in marriage , family, and acting halfway decent. There were those who rebeled , but the majority of the population still had some values. Why does everyone think some immoral things are o.k just because of the year it is? What was so wrong about the 50's? At least families stayed together and crime was lower?

today at 1:00 i'm signed up to give blood for my first time at school I'm a little nervious that i will pass out. my older brother being a brother said look at the bag. If everything paused, and everything in the Universe was stopped an unchanging, does that mean that time would be taken out of the equation altogether? Are there any theories to measure time when time=0 because of change=0 and because time is a measure of change?

I hope this makes sense, I get that it's a moot point because if it stops we wouldn't know or understand, but still, I'm curious if there's any theories for this.

Long story short. I went out with a guy for a 1 1/2 years. I loved him. We broke up. I ended up dating his friend. After dating someone else for a year, I break up with him because I'm still in love with my first real and only love. This guy means everything to me and I'm incomplete without him. However, he doesn't want anything to do with me he says because of the fact that I dated his friend. I know it was wrong... but the reason we broke up is because he liked another girl. Anyways, my friends know him and talk to him about me sometimes and they say all they see is hurt. And that he could still have feelings for me. Please help! I am so in love with this ex boyfriend of mine. He has a girlfriend..but they've only been together about a month. I need him in my life. I've already thought about moving on...but I can't do it. My friends are moving to Ireland at the end of the year. She has lived in USA since she was 2 years old but is British citizen. She will be going there with her fiance and child (3 years old).

Although she can work legally she hasn't lived in Europe so it will be different.

I was farsighted and they corrected one eye so I wouldn't need reading glasses anymore. Well, it's been a week and my eyes are still confused. They can't see to read well enough without glasses and when I put reading glasses on I get a headache. I feel I may have made a mistake. How long does it take for eyes to adjust? Days, weeks, months??

My 25 month old daughter has lately started refusing to take a nap. I know little children grow out of the nap stage eventually. The problem is she gets terribly irritable in the early evening around 5 or so when her dad gets home now. I know it's because she didn't get that nap.
Her schedule used to be something like this:

7:30-8am wake up
1:30-3pm nap
8:30pm bedtime

Now it's more like...

9:30am wake up
~NO NAP ALL DAY~
5pm early evening temper tantrums begin (last until bedtime)
8:30pm bedtime

I have tried to lay her down around her usual nap time but she has a fit until I come get her. Should I just give up?

Here ya go... When i am on explorer i go to webpages and such i can click on links and for the most part surf the web... until i get to a button that is Java Script at least i think it is that... also automatic drop down menus that should drop when my cursor moves over the top of the menu those drop menus don't drop... so then i can't use the menus... it really is upsetting.... i can't even get the things done that i need too... i updated to Internet Explorer 7 thinkin if a file or so was missing then it would be reinstalled... well that was a no go... most of the time i can't download anything because it won't automatically try to download... oh also Active X messages don't ever come up... ummm so... help

After waiting for almost 60 days under contract and 7 days to closing, my buyer backed out! He put $5,000 down with the offer. I am all packed up and ready to move! Can I force them to buy my house? They claim they aren't able to afford it, BUT the mortgage company says they are approved. They just got anxious and decide not to buy. The contract is pretty standard and every demand is complied (price, allowance for repairs). What sucks is that I bought new furniture, new drapes, a refrigerator, scheduled utility switch, rented a storage facility (cause it was going to be a back-to-back closing on April 3rd) for the new house, and I am losing the opportunity to buy the new home I so wanted it!!! I am frustrated, disapointed and sad! Anyone can suggest anything?
